Dancer is a DPS

I had high hopes for dancer being a healer. They wasted the opportunity to make it something completely new as a healing job and of course took the laziest route possible and made it ANOTHER dps. 10 DPS. 4 Tanks. 3 Healers.

As a healer main I feel a ridiculous amount of spite towards their favoritism with DPS roles in this game. Asking those of us who main a healer to wait a possible 6 years because they are too lazy/refuse to get their heads out of the sand as far as healer balance and concepts go isn’t a reasonable excuse in my opinion.

The worst part in all of this is I’m sure the cries for balancing will still go unheard in the expansion and things will probably pretty much stay the same, and I don’t know which is more disappointing: the fact that they are oblivious or lazy, or that they just don’t care.

Plus I mean, I said it in another thread, (I think, everythings kinda melding together right now @_@) as much as I would have loved a healer, I dont think they could have turned dancer into a truly unique healer. Its performances would probably be amazing, but I think it would just be another Ast. And if it does ast's job better, then you're effectively rendering 1 job useless.
So as upset as I am to, I think it was a good choice, because it just would not work as a healer. Plus now there is a 3rd ranged DPS, I will give it that much

I mean, from what we know so far, its basically dark knight with reload arts.

A general theme of "Oh noooooo" went along with that reveal.

Geez that would have been amazing. A giant frickin Hammer Weapon.
Im actually amazed you didnt try to compare it to Warrior, because Gunbreaker looks like it will have alot of Raw Power, while Drk depends on Magic
Heck Ill actually entertain the thought that its a close ranged Machinist......I like that idea now.....Al Bhed Glamours for my Tank!

Like some have said I'm not mad dancer is a dps (I'm happy it's in at all really) I'm mad no healer was revealed. But I think what infuriated me the most is knowing I have an FC member who spat in the faces of healer mains like myself, effectively saying we should just play the new tank then. What this person fails to know is I have every job at 70 and I tank considerably on the side, sometimes more than healing.

The icing on the cake? He doesn't even have healers unlocked besides a 30 AST. Legit spits in the face of healers when he himself doesn't heal AND is getting a new toy for his primary role.

Sure....but there is "Physical" Ranged DPS, and then "Magical" Ranged Dps
So....there are now 3 Physical Ranged DPS...if that fixes the discrepancy

Easy solution: I´m done with healer in Shadowbringers.

Obviously healer isn´t a important role for SE, and reading the comments on the OF, for a lot of DPSers, Tanks and even some Healers and we don´t deserve a new job, so why play it any longer?!

I will only heal my trusts in MSQ-dungeons and will gladly pay my way through the trials as a dps (are 5 Million Gil enough for a normal trial?)
