looks like lot of people are left with the only option to sit at their computer and refresh the page every here and then... like Mrfox0707 said, update time would be nice.Firstly, let me apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused. In regards to the situation where multiple Worlds are showing as full, I wanted to let you all know that the population data on Lodestone is not shown in real time, and actually updates a few times throughout the day. Worlds that show as being full now, may not be later in the day. That said, we would ask that you please check back periodically to see whether or not the World you wish to transfer to is open.
I said this over on the Balmung forum section, but i think it applies here. Hopefully Bayohne is still here and can take this suggestion with him. We need to get the traffic moving, or this jam will stay til deadline.i was always here, GMT timezone~
I hope you guys manage to get your transfer on and come join us. This whole congestion stinks. Have faith that SE will arrange a solution, even if it's something like setting your desired destination and you get a slot when it opens up. Which would probably actually encourage more people to set their applications instead of complaining that everything is full, and free up more slots faster.
... Are you reading this SE? i think i had a good idea!
There's a good chance it could update at different intervals or under specific conditions rather than a set time, rule of the thumb is to check during 8am - 12pm time frames (this seems to be default database refresh time frames.)
well you could just tell everyone in gridlock to temporarily go to ragnarok. That would free space on the full servers, and then you can go to the one you want. Only thing is you take a risk of not being able to leave ragnarok >.>
they need to raise the cap on transfers enough so that ppl have some room to migrate, rather then capping on strait population numbers give just enough room to shift around. Its impossible that all the servers capped out over time this makes ZERO sense. Think about it we all started the day with everyone in set locations and as ppl request to move into certain areas those regions become capped. This creates a situation where it is physically impossible for all the servers but the EU one to be capped ever PERIOD the system they are using is fundamentally flawed and needs to be fixed (probably due to the delayed lodestone updates or w/e bay was talking about).
edit: It is impossible to ever cap all the servers! It seems like they are not removing the counter(or delaying it) when you leave too a different server.
OK, noob question here.. If I don't want to change servers or anything like that, I don't have to do anything and get transfered to wherever I was slated to, correct? Even if it is showing as full?

It does make sense though. The simple fact that people didn't want all servers purged and "forced to transfer" is the exact reason this is happening.
Server (with tons of inactive people) + Server (with tons of inactive people) + transfer to said server = fast capping no matter the cap or threshold.
The EU would also be capped if all EU people moved to it, but there's a good chance a lot didn't bother to move, hell I know the 10 EU in my LS didn't move to Rag lol.
Yes, because your server is part of the new server, so you have to do nothing.
Yes, it's full because they are counting on you and everyone else who did nothing to be in that server.
No this does not make any logical sense:
Player "Tango" is on server A.
Player "Tango" transfers to server B.
Server A now has 1 extra space.
Math dictates that all the servers can NEVER be capped at the same time PERIOD.
