Can we please get a dev comment about servers being full?

We are also trying to move just 9 but so far, only 5 have been able to make it. 3 (including myself) when the application opened up. Two today, so far. 4 are left and I think either a) it will work out fine or b) SE will alter the process a bit (which also fulfills scenario a.)

Regardless, no need to panic, folks. Give it time. SE hasn't let us down since Yoshi took over and I don't see that happening now.

Edit: I will admit some irritation at the process. Had people not cried foul to begin with things would have been fine (most likely.) Still, this particular process could have been a lot easier but this is what people who QQ'd wanted. It just sucks that everyone else has reap what they sowed.

i have a question for you. please think and answer this honestly. how would the other method have stopped the same issues we have?

now server a + server b are merged together and a few people want to leave that server. those few people cannot get to the other server they want to go to because they want to go to is full.

the original server a and server b want to go to the same server, but the server cannot hold both servers going there. it can hold all of a and half of b. you wind up with 75% of each server getting in and the other 25% is stuck trying to find somewhere else to go.

one method only has the people trying to leave their server having issues going somewhere else and the other method has large portions of the server that cannot even continue to play with the people they have been playing with.

i'll take the issues with the smaller amount of people so i still say the method we have now is better.

Unlikely that will happen Vedis but we will see. People have a right to be angry atm, time is ticking and nothings is opening up, you cannot argue with your statement being based on what you might think will happen in the future.

but people are also making the same assumption that is they had went with the original option we would not be having the same issues. i contend these same issues would have happened no matter which method they went with.

i also got a big feeling alot of the holdup is people choosing what server they want to go to...when they coulda chose the default one

look a how many people post here asking how it works, they obviously didnt read it, now think of how many arent posting and lets say...choosing balmung when they are already on besaid out of ignorance...

i bet alot of those people are holding up the process too

and i still think its too early to really complain about it to the extent some people are, it is overreacting plain and simple

me either honestly. outside of the oceanic players, eu players, and role players that are trying to get a server together as their unofficial server i can't understand why so many people hate their server so much to want to leave it when a bunch of new players will be joining them.

For example, people from besaid and fabul applying to go tO Balmung. Lol. Wouldn't that count as an application?

A good point you bring up. I know a few people last night who do indeed want to stay on Selbina/Ridill, but decided to put in applications for Ridill anyways. I was wondering if their applcations counted towards the daily application limit? Not sure how people are misunderstanding these simple instructions >.>
