Please do something about Roll Trolls

It is sometimes annoying basically having to wait out the whole timer for someone to roll, but that’s the length they chose for the timer. Unless someone specifically were to say something in chat indicating that their intent was to wait things out in hopes more people would leave, it wouldn’t be good for GMs to punish people for this. You honestly don’t know why someone isn’t rolling, it could be reasons other than intentionally trying to troll people. How can they say “this is thr amount of time you have to roll on loot” while also saying “but if you actually use more than say 30 secmds of that time your account could be penalized for obvious trolling”?

I dint personally think the timer is all that long and it could help people who are coming back from disconnects or other rl issues, but I think the only fair way to handle this would be for SE to lessen the length of the timer if they feel it’s too long and the occasional wait is impacting people too much.

Although the end result of someone trolling like that isn't a huge deal, the intent is. I've seen the last person who hasn't rolled slow walk to the exit and then sit down or something, waiting for the rest of us to leave so they can get it or just to waste our time. They're not busy doing something else, or lagging, or unsure. Sometimes it's very clear that they're deliberately waiting to annoy everyone else.

If there is any indication that they are indeed trolling, I think we can report them. I once reported someone who deliberately not rolling to spite the other party members, because according to them, the party were not performing as it should or something along that line (they actually said it in the party chat).

The Idea behind this sort of greifing is that players will become frustrated and leave the instance thus no longer being eligible for the loot thereby reducing the amount of competing loot rolls against the greifer. Thereby forcing players to stand around for several minutes waiting after their legitimate roll for their loot.

It's not clear enough in the ToS because it's not against the ToS hence the timer. I've only had this happen once out of the thousands of instances I've been apart of and I just alt+tabbed to another window and watched YouTube videos. Nothing at all to get frustrated about though.

There is a timer for a reason. Thats the time everyone has to roll and there is nothing SE is gonna do about it.

People also use the roll timer so they do not get kicked.

In those alliance raids, you cannot kick someone if the loot roll is up, so they can afk for the first 5mins where you cannot kick, the alliance kills the first boss in this time, and then someone opens the chest (sometimes done by the afker) and then we cannot kick them because they won't roll on loot, and then the next boss gets killed, and the cycle repeats. The timer needs to be shortened.
