I was going to say something similar, but reading through the OP's post... a Cracked Cluster, sure why not.

I don't think similar rewards to a regular dungeon/trial is too much, no one will do it just for the rewards when a Normal roulette wont chuck them into Titan EX or something. If you help others willingly you deserve a small "thank you". The biggest issue is the mount imo. There are definitely people who are basically using Mentor Roulette as a rare mount farm. I've heard people openly state "I want to unlock Mentor Roulette so I can get the mount".

I'm not so much against the cracked cluster, "adventurer in need" for trials does much of the same, doesn't it? I don't mind this because there are other ways to get the same items, which aren't all as time-consuming, so it's a good "thank you", as you said.

My problem comes, as mentioned, with the mount and the other items folks suggested - when this is the only Way To Get A Thing, then people will do it to Get A Thing, not to Do The Thing. And when The Thing requires patience, knowledge, and good sportsmanship to actually be successful and you're shoving folks into it who just want to Get A Thing, well...

You get the current mentor system.

No, not all mentors are bad. But not all mentors are good, either.

Do mentor roulette because you genuinely want to help new people. Not for some in game reward. I'm actually against adding anything else to it because it would attract the wrong type of people into running that roulette.

I think the only silly thing isn't the amount of rewards is so low... they could keep it as it but the daily limit shouldn't exist.

Now the main reason why they probably have the daily limit is to try to eliminate the people who only run for the rewards and don't want to help people. Problem is due to the nature of how the mentor roulette works even those who genuinely want to help probably don't do more than one run a day.

Honestly I'd say on a given day it probably boils down to what type of people you get matched with. If you get matched with new people that actually want to learn its quite enjoyable. When you get matched with those people with no interest in getting better and have that "you don't pay my sub" attitude, you just don't feel like queueing it again that day.

My major complaint with mentor roulette is all of the rewards are the same, yet the difficulty in clearing content, especially with new and often times, blindly entering a fight, players. A completion of an extreme primal counts the same as clearing Cape Westwind or the level 10 guildhest. The work put forth in teaching players the encounter is woefully not the same. Even worse is when you queue in to a progress EX, wait around, and when you get another mentor, they complain they got this fight and pressure new people to use the party finder. While getting EX trials with new players is a mixed bag (it's frustrating getting players that can't seem to understand what a tank swap is when you sit down and try to explain it like they were a 5-year-old or to NOT stand with the party when you have Searing Wind), something about trying to force them to use party finder just feels... wrong?

As it is, people that want the rewards do things like time queues during dead hours in mentor with someone who will run the level 10 guildhests. I know of someone who did 2,000 completed roulettes in two weeks with this method and another that did in just under a month.

Sorry to tell you, but the Mentor roulette is mainly for filling queues.
