How to not support genderlocked races.

Don't switch to them. Even if you wanted to be a Fem Viera or Male Hrothgar but don't support the race being female and male only don't switch to it. Don't make alt characters as the new races either.

You don't have to unsub, although that might be more impactful. (I doubt it) Just don't play the new races. Don't buy any more fantasias. Or buy one and switch to a race we already have. If 0 people support the new races then (maybe) they will release a statement that they will unlock them in a future expansion.

I feel like that would only work if it was a successful organized act of protest. Otherwise it might just look to SE like there's no interest in the races, and then why would they invest in opening up the other gender for them?

A lot of people would but there are also a lot of people that might've but now won't. I considered joke-Fantasiaing one of my alts to a female Viera. That's one Fantasia to, one Fantasia back, repeat as many times as I feel like. Poof, revenue out the window now. I will definitely discourage any on-the-fencers I see around, too. And they can kiss my Mog Shop budget goodbye.

Why... would SE care if you all art things up or not? Oo Like you called them creativity, OCs! Fanart. If you like doing that sorta stuff, don't let no silly lack of one gender or the other slow you down. Really... (If I liked writing fanfiction, you'd you be damn sure no fan fest or crashing hype would stop me from doing it. Oo... But I don't, I prefer my own worlds to write in. *mutters... if could draw that'd be different*)

I mean, they're going in the game, gender-locked or not. Not switching to them more likely would signal that they just weren't popular ideas at all, and would mostly be just to spite them and their dev time. Speaking here is more important and has more impact.

Also, if there's anything you'll ever learn in the gaming industry, it's that gamers are loud on forums, but have very little restraint in reality. To that end, there's no way people AREN'T gonna switch to Viera. Male or otherwise.

Switching anyway, as it'll be the first female race added in awhile without weird proportions or things that can clip. I don't even care for Viera personally, but it'll be a nice change.


Also, keeping all this in 1 thread shows much more massive support than 300 tiny topics that disappear 2 days later.
