    Enmity and the Moogle battle

Just had a quick question. Does anyone know if you generate Enmity while the Moogles are gathered up and in the middle of summoning the King? Specifically, would our GLA be able to Sacred Prism + Cure for enmity at this point, or would he have to wait until the Moogles are able to be targeted?

If he has to wait until the moogles are actually attacking, would anyone happen to know the Japanese name of the Moogle Memento so I can copy/paste it when I explain what to do?

have him do it after flow so his sentinel is up to amplify the hate from flash an prism/cure. also have everyone stand there til the moogles get close, then rampart so all the mogs and party members are in range to get hit by it.

Emnity is carried over from phase 1 to phase 2.
So yes, the tank can gain emnity in this manner.
Mages and DD, can chameleon during this time for a nice hate drop too.

Not sure what it is in Japanese, but I often run Moogle with JP's and they just call it "Memento".

Hate from phase one carries over into phase two. You, as a gld, need to build up as much hate as you can during the phase one (your combo that generates hate is a very good way to do this). In particular on the mrd and brd moogle. Make sure your archers (or whatever class) use their chameleon on those two classes in particular.

yea, when the mrd bard and glad die, you should be blinking red on them. try to spike your hate just before they die to be blinking red.

I had another question I'd like to ask if anyone knows the answer...

My LS has been trying out different Moogle kill orders whenever we are fortunate enough to get people that are willing to try out new strategies. One attempt we figured that since the King is pretty much a pushover before you kill any other Moogles, that we could kill him first and make the fight a lot easier. As it turns out, he doesn't take any damage at all if you try to kill him first.

Anyway, my question is: does anyone know if the King's damage protection gradually goes away (so that each Moogle killed allows X% of damage to be done to the king), or does it go away completely once a single Moogle is killed? I figured I would ask ahead of time since our LS doesn't do events until the weekend and it would be nice to know beforehand.

A kill order I've been commonly (and that my LS uses) is:

    BRD
    BLM
    ARC
    THF
    WHM
    MRD
    King
    GLA

You can spend some time thinking about it, and if you are familiar with the fight mechanics you'll figure our why that order is very popular.

As for the king's AI: yes, as you kill each moogle his damage reduction decreases, as does his auto-regen effect. The strength of both appears to be a function of how many moogles are on the battlefield. Short version: More moogles = harder to kill.

As for enmity. It has been observed that enmity can be accumulated (or shed) when moogles are down on the ground in phase I. They are still gaining enmity from actions like curing, using rampart, etc. obviously you can't damage them and flash will not hit them if they are down. So it reasons that you should use prism+cure as often as possible, on as many targets as possible, in phase I. Charge it 30s before entry, enter, wait for all archers to get on Koop's enmity table, then curaga the party for solid hate. Prep prism immediately when it is ready and use it on the second or third moogle as needed (great if Kapa pops early in this case). Remember prism recast is 90s but it has a 60s duration so use discretion.

Thanks for the info. My LS doesn't have any ARC besides me (and I usually need to CNJ for this fight) so I figured if we could kill the king early before he gets all his AOE would have made the fight a lot simpler for our setup.

The kill order we've been using is BLM > BRD > THF > RNG > MRD > WHM > KING > GLAD to try and get as much AOE onto the king as possible so its only one target to keep an eye on. Our success so far seems to be based on how quickly/safely we can the first four down, and lately enmity has been wonky making DDs kite the THF/RNG early on killing our damage output. Random pickups attacking the wrong target doesn't help either... It's rarely that bad though.
