Hoo boy. This is has been stressful.

While the dungeon itself is fun, the intended method for party finding is eluding me.

1) You cannot rely on a premade. NA players are screaming DON'T BE ENTITLED, YOU DON'T OWN THE PORTALS and sniping spots from teams who are just trying to prog together while simultaneously flexing their entitlement expecting that team to hold their hand, carry them and explain mechanics. Taking a groups tank or healer off them by rushing portals when they realise groups are attempting to clear and bringing their progress attempt to a complete stop is, understandably, making people hugely upset.

2) You cannot rely on a pug group. You can't change classes in the Arsenal so making a group with a couple of dps, a tank and healer when you get in is almost impossible....unless you make a premade...which you can't rely on, because see point one.

I'm confused on what the intended method of party finding is supposed to be. I assume this system works fine in Japan where people are generally courteous of others but for NA/EU, it's a nightmare. The hostility is reaching all time highs.

Diadems Emergency Mission (while massively flawed in itself) at least allowed teams to enter together.

How is everyone else feeling. The content itself is very fun I thought but this party organizing and desperate rush to get in when pugs realise premades are having an attempt is creating some seriously bad blood.

Edit: I assume this wasn't completely overlooked by the SE team considering the timely announcement of revised behaviour rules.

Edit 2: Trying to get 7 teams in the same instance by spamming the queue over and over again seems like the opposite thing Square would want.

So far *knock on wood*, this is not something I have really seen on Aether data center. That's not to say that no one hasn't entered a portal solo, but for the most parts groups seem to be mostly getting in together and (pre) coordinating on a Discord channel. I've not seen anyone be nasty about thinking they own portals, or the other side claiming people don't own portals.

The problem happens when everyone gets into a Shouting war with everyone else and the Salt is so deep on both sides that even the oceans are a fresh water source. Some of the pre-made teams have a Only let the leaders shout or if you incite more drama we won't invite you again status. There a few common portal 'snipers' as it were that know the fights and participate fully through the entire instance. They're not there to grief they're there to get in and do the dungeon. The problem comes when people take a portal with the intent of immediately leaving so the people going inside 'get bent'. Those are the griefers and the actual issue. They aren't there to do the content, they had no intent on doing it at all, they are there griefing players that are there to do the content because for no other reason than you don't pay my sub.

actually, i think a lot of the leavers, are people who hoped to catch an open slot, only to find out the current group hates them for taking a slot, and would rather leave in that case.

Thats not the case for me. The people who are making pre made everyone else is respectful. Most people are more concerned with the relic than the Arsenal.

I think it goes both ways, yes i things its wrong and rude to not try to find a group before going in and just ruining the experience for everyone else, however i also think it's not right for the pre-made groups who actually do act like they have a right to claim all the portals, that in itself is defined as entitlement. Both sides are wrong, both sides need to grow up. This is as square enix/yoshi p described a PUBLIC dungeon. So anyone has the right to take any portal as soon as they see it. From what i see is that the fault here is with square enix for not thinking this through first and realizing this could become a huge issue for the community. All we can do is just give feedback and hope square enix listens to what we said and makes some sort of use out of it to better things.

(organizing parties, explaining fights, etc) but a decent number of people in the instance are supposed to be random players, 60+ who want to get some loot and fight strong dangerous bosses

(organizing parties, explaining fights, etc) but a decent number of people in the instance are supposed to be random players, 60+ who want to get some loot and fight strong dangerous bosses

They should know just enter will not get them any loot if they are going to die to mechanic of the boss. You can't really get carry in BA. Let it be clear, I do not like sniper but I would prefer a sniper that know how to do stuff than one who will just wipe the raid.
