Can't say I like Eureka, but like Diadem (also dislike), at least we can say their trying out ideas using side content rather than mainline content. Imagine this kind of stuff being added to MSQ or primary progression. Bit by bit it improves, and personally i think Eureka get vastly better when the instance is down to like 20 people or less.

To be fair while i do not like Eureka SE really needed to try something different. Some do actually enjoy it so they will keep it in i think and expand upon the idea at least.
Don't like it, just simply do not do it. That's what i do.

As much as i love this game i'm gonna join tc and say eureka is garbage.

i was almost indifferent to it at first but as it expanded that turned into a rich hate towards it, the only positive to it was that it was an attempt, an attempt at something different although its terrible in every way imaginable.

I dont mind a timesink or brutal grind but eureka is horrid because it ignores its own rules, I read how it was supposed to work when it was first announced and didnt mind how it sounded, pairing up, killing monsters to make chains and get crystals to level gear and maybe sometimes join everyone to kneecap a super beasty.......that'll work.

because of those godawful trains, i ran eureka probably once the "right way" and honestly it was pretty cool to just zone out and murder things as you slowly leveled and found a new monster to bloody into extinction, add in the vistas and it was almost neat. but after that instance ran out and i went again all that was there were "trains", just players standing around waiting for something to pop, no one wanted to group up and play like normal, they just wanted to find the train and loiter, even if i did shout and get an invite those dopes were clear across the map just idling with the mob expecting my lvl10 rdm dweeb to brave that murderous wasteland to join them.

and what has finally sent my rage to redline is the fact there is a neat sounding dungeon locked behind that travesty which i know i will never see because theres no way i will ever ever ever go in there again, i think 24man content is the most bad*** content in the game and now something even flashier exist but is gated by this trash, its insulting

is ff14 still my go to game? yes, obviously, am i amped for shadowbringers? heck yeah. but if more eureka type deviousness is announced i'm done, i honestly hate it that much.

Also though I love Eureka. Its controversial content, but that doesn't mean its bad. Its really good content, well designed. Very enjoyable. The only really terrible part was initial launch Pagos and thats gone now.
