Anyways i just use a PC to write and lets go back to the actual topic why i started this thread instead of talking about bad words, which my BFF did notice in the chats.

So, why is there a profanity filter while if u use profanity u still can get reported for inappropriated words, while if they turn on the filter they just dont see them, which will fix it on their own screen.
Else they can just remove this function since GM's can always see it, with such an option or not.

Why is there a profanity filter?

Probably because you “only have to be thirteen to play this game” (it being T rated for the US implies the game is designed for 13+ individuals), and it exists as a type of “parental control” for parents who don’t want their potentially-13-year-olds to see curse words (despite it being something that can be easily turned on/off).

I’ve also read that some people just don’t want to see the words, or parents who play the game do not want their children to be watching them play and see profanity. There’s plenty of reasons why it’s there—they may not apply to you, but they’re still reasons.

The function has a reason for existing, whether its applicable to you or not. That’s why it won’t be removed.

GM's don't watch your text every second. That would be impossible. They do have your logs on server of your texted chats, every thing you bought or sold, everything your character did and any interactions you had in game. They can refer to it anytime, so that means if you get reported then all GM's has to do is refer to your chat logs for the time it was reported and take what action is appropriate. This makes lying to a GM is futile, when they can see these logs and know exactly what you said, did and when you did it and to who. I know this because I worked close to GM's in the past, to know a bit about protocol. Your circumstance I'm sure, was warranted enough for GM's to feel they should take some action towards.

And yes profanity filters are there, for adults with kids or younger. It's to protect Square legally, as much as it's there to protect players.
