i honesty doubt that anyone is wearing below maybe 59 gear for shi or ghost .. after that sure and honestly when i upped my rdm to 70 i had my 59 wep till lvl 69 cuz bad rng and was not going 2 pay 100k for a weapon of white quality and was just fine

This is pure laziness that white weapon you ignored was vastly more powerful that that lv59 weapon and cost alot less than 100k for the nq version you were nothing but a hindrance to every party you were in, you are the type of player that shows we need a min ilv on these leveling dungeons because i can tell you right now any healer that dps even a little was out dpsing you and rdm damage scales higher than hlrs. You should respect other people even people you may never see again because i'd bet you would want to be respected if you were properly geared and someone else did what you did.

It may seem to you that you were "just fine" when in reality you were dead weight and the others were carrying you. In a 4-player duty the tank is the only one that should hold aggro and the healer is the only one that can significantly restore health. If either of those roles doesn't do their jobs the failure is immediately noticeable. But dealing damage is not exclusive to the DPS role - everyone does it. So an undergeared DPS is only noticeable if you pay attention to how fast the run goes. A woefully undergeared DPS may die to areawide attacks, but at a glance that may be similar to a well geared DPS who is inept at avoiding AoEs.

...level 59? You do realize that you were missing nearly 31 weapon damage in comparison to the 270 shire right? (and that's not even including the missing INT). You may have been 'fine', but your damage output would not be, no matter how skilled you are. I sincerely hope you levelled through HoH and didn't subject any actual sirensong+ groups to a i148 weapon.

Your statement is literally the reason why people are asking for ilvl checks, to prevent that EXACT thing from happening.

Congratulations on being part of the problem. You lost a significant part of your damage due to laziness. Reminds me of the time I had a very bad warrior tank in sohm al hard back in 3.5 and he was using the gubal axe. Would you like to know how that went? He could barely hold aggro (or at all) and acted like a child once I brought it to light, even attacking me over the fact despite me having said nothing wrong.

There is no shortage of sources for weapons to get. May I introduce you to shire weapons?

A tank in a 59 weapon would not be able to hold aggro in sirensong+. A healer in a 59 weapon would not be able to heal sirensong+. A dps with a level 59 weapon in sirensong+ are a pure hindrance, nothing more. It's not being uptight, it's having respect for your fellow player. You can make 400 poetics needed for a 260 shire rapier in 2 roulettes that'll only be a single hour (at worst), and you get exp to boot. If that's too much work for a player and they choose not to respect their fellow player's time, then they shouldn't be queueing for content their gear is not adequate for.

Dude just do us all a favor and just use potd and hoh. No one wants to carry a worthless redmage with a lvl 59 weapon who can't be bothered to buy a cheap normal quality weapon.

considering how the synch system works it does matter. Max level content has a min ilvl and you can far outgear the content itself (which outside of hard content most people do at this stage.) in lvling dungeons (especially SB and HW) you are either just at gear or just above it at best. So you you really feel it when someone cant be bothered to at least semi try to upkeep there gear. Quite a selfish attitude for a MULTIPlAYER party based game. Many like to say that "elitists" are the worse part of the community, but people with attitudes like yours are far FAR worse.

They really need to make it so that once tanks hit lvl 15 they can not wear leather or cloth gear anymore. The amount of tanks i have had in the last few days that have been in almost all dps left side gear has just been sad. I just got out of a DD run with a tank that had 3 caster pieces and a level 20 weapon. I barely had time to swift cast a holy before there hp plummeted.
