Well, when you get those unsynced parties that wanna try to faceroll things for an EX trial mount and they wipe to pretty much every mechanic in the instance, it might as well feel like a fight with Thordan/Sephirot difficulty, albeit an artificial one with your party members being the main obstacles.
I agree. Although I took longer to clear Shinryu EX than Thordan EX, Thordan EX is clearly the harder fight by miles when it comes to farming and consistency.

They seemed easier than HW EX fights.
I can imagine many of them will be easier to do unsynced at 80 than warring triad will be unsynced at 80.
Their transition phases are awful. Do we really need that much stand around and wait in a 8-10 minute fight (or 5-6 for some of them now)?
I highly preferred these over Heavensward ones, albeit that's mainly because of the aesthetics (music, visuals, colors,...). I feel that most of them were just the right difficulty, as in 'pay attention, but no need to break a sweat'. That's the sweet spot of difficulty for me.
Lakshmi however, I would say was too easy and therefore kinda dull. Didn't need to really pay attention at all times, as the fight was just too forgiving.
I don't want wipe after wipe for weeks on end trying to figure it out, PF is already bad enough as it is (they'd better call it Party Roulette at this point, sometimes you're lucky, mostly you're just wasting your time). They are meant to be a step down in difficulty compared to savage raiding, and I really think they hit the sweet spot with the fights this expansion.
Thumbs up!
Most of them are just way too easy, until you would hit Shinryu. Of course when you know the fight that one was not as bad either but still.
Lakshmi and Susano you could do it if you were half asleep, lol But i still do like the designs of the fight and calling Lakshmi the bossom lady![]()
For me, I think they are quite equals.
Susano as for Ravana, was my coup de coeur for the introduction of EX trial of their respective expansion.
They have distinctive phases (with crescendo difficulty), several great music, really good aethetic character and scenery.
Not once I was bored, I was entertained (and wanted to dance) by their voice, their mechanics, their music.
And the transition phase of Susano is maybe the best I have seen so far.
Despite I like Lakshmi theme and the character, the fight is too passive. The scenery is not impressive and doesn't improve.
Same for the mecanics despite the using of the action mission (for the 1st time in all FFXIV).
Maybe they should have more adds in the fight (same reproach as for Sophia for me).
The visual feedback from the back of the boss is not great.
For Shinryu, I didn't have fun at all. Everything is not really innovative (apart climbing the tail and the back of the boss). The fight is kinda annoying as healer (2 tanks targeted, many AOE, dragons to heal...).
And music, don't know how it can be so popular. Thordan EX was so much better in every aspect (even if many mechanics were used before too).
Byakko is good, really nothing else to add.
Suzaku is the fight which show if people are able to do multitasking during the color phase. It's amazing to see people continuing to fail at colors nowadays (farm party).
But I really think it's the fight where we wish to have a better zoom out for the camera.
Anyways, I think the fight should less play on colors and more on others mechanics to offers more diversity.
Seiryu is probably my 2nd favorite trial of Stormblood. The mechanics are really cool, the ultimate attack too, and the fight is quite dynamic.
The use of snakes arriving by a side in the water, is a nice thing. I like his voice.
Lakshmi: I enjoyed the fight for the music, she is a healing primal so I can see why it was a relaxed fight. I did love it alot.
Susano: I loved the jump over the interactive hole/quicksand - that Susano slashes apart. The lightning tether and the fun times with rescue was a memorable thing.
Shinyru: Extremely challenging - I enjoyed it once I KNEW all the mechanics. The learning part was a little steep but it became a quick favorite.
Byakko: I actually felt Byakko was too slow. I liked the fight, but not really enjoyed it lol I did enjoy the sky dive though ~
Tsyukiyomi: Beautiful fight - very awesome with the light to dark doom. I enjoyed it very much so once I got it down on pat. I stayed doing this fight 100 x for the mount and don't regret it.
Suzaku: Man I love interactive boss mechanics so the ddr and the simon says were perfection. Great music and chills. Top favorite behind Seiryu!
Seiryu: Best mario kart music. Lot of fun mechanics placed from slippin and sliding and I do like the Sephirot split mechanic being reintroduced. I really had fun with this fight and would enjoy more like it in the future. The laughs my team had are the best of times.

On a side note:
When Shadow Bringers comes out I'm sure Maxxed out players will still die to Sephirot Mechanics. Another reason I did like HW because it was challenging but many people riot - I think StormBlood was a relax pull back the reigns on that - now we need something middle ground to see where people want to go in the future

Agreed with the transition lengths.
While I do agree they are easier than the previous set of EX primals, I wouldn't go that far saying the SB EX primals and content were too easy.
Some people learn fast. Some people learn slow. Some players might not have the benefit of a static. Some may just yolo it and become the weak link in the end. At the end of the day, each player will put his/her best foot forward and see how it works out.
I should know, I've been through some tough obstacles to get some of the weapons when they were relevant and some mounts before the drop rate increases/buyable totem turn ins (a proud owner of the Kamuy of the Nine Tails since 2/24/19).

I didn't complete them all. The ones I did complete were Susano, Lakshmi and Suzaku. Out of those 3 I actually really liked Suzaku alot. It was the only one I was willing to farm enough to get my SAM weapon. The rest just didn't interest me. I will be returning to the ones I haven't done in Shadowbringers though for farming and completion purposes.
