I don't want instanced housing, but i guess it would be too much to ask for them to add more wards when all wards get full.

I just want to get a house, and it sucks that even though i have the money i just can't get one because there is literally nothing available.

I am hoping i can maybe snag one after the server split, but who knows. People will probably be faster than me and i will be screwed.

After all the time I kinda doubt that they would touch on the existing system. My hopes are still with the new ishgard housing and that maybe these are instanced houses..

In the end a choice would be nice. Have wards in each region (maybe for FC only) and instanced housing with all sizes in each region and let the people choose. I would instantly put all my houses behind instances because I dont care one bit about wards and I never see many people around it anyway. And all those that want the wards then have to just accept the timer. Win win for everyone, and more houses for each person too because you can have one instanced house per region..which would also increase the amount of sold house items and all these event house items would finally make sense..

It would be nice if they would just set up a better housing system then the current compost pile it is. I have soooooooooooooooooo many housing items just sitting on retainers since the housing demolition has been locked for SOOOOOOOOOOO long.

We already have instanced housing, it's called apartments. We aren't going to get a large instanced house for every character that never gets demolished because there isn't enough space for that amount of data. The best we can hope for is a greenhouse or a glazed balcony for apartments so everyone can use their outdoor furniture and breed plants.

It would be nice at least if they would allow us to choose how big the inside of the apartment is. Someone mentioned this earlier in the post. If I could buy an apartment, but have it be a medium sized interior (for a steeper price of course), I would say screw waiting for a house as I currently am.

Aparments where we should have gotten much more and where they hinted that we will get different sized ones in the future. And still nothing like that happened. I really hope that Ishgard housing is apartments but with bigger rooms or the possibilty of buying more. Heck I would already just love it, if I could buy more than one FC room..

Yes maybe the instanced home as you describe could be one of the possible solutions, because currently SE provides 4320 plots per server without mention the aps if Ishgard house area actually happen and in the same system there will be 5400 plots even with aps might not be enough for the most crowded servers.

Based on a non-official census page were they base their research results on Lodestone they estimate just Ragnarok to have 11 478 active characters and it's not the most populated server it loses to Zodiark for a few margin, from those 11 478 only 7867 are until the present day 70 lvl because after transfers happened and the server was reopened there were a flood of recently players.

5400 plots (if ishgard happen in the same system) plus aps won't be enough to accommodate 11 478 active characters.
