    Change Party Settings for maps

It's a simple enough sounding suggestion.

When you and a group of people do a map, you have a chance to get into the Canals.

When the group goes into the Canals, there should be a prompt for the owner of the map where they get to pick if it's greed for everyone but map owner or everyone can roll greed.

I'm mainly saying this from the very few rando groups I've been in recently, since I usually don't have enough people I know online at once to do maps, and there's a few people out there taking the loot and running, and we know that SE can not get any items back for us, so give the players more control on how this goes.

Also: The only loot that wouldn't be part of the rule, is all the random loot that people get anyways (Gil/materia/ect) from opening a chest/bag.

If you form a maps party via party finder, you can set lootmaster.

Outside of a trusted FC run who agree to it, everyone bring a map and everyone need on everything regardless of owner works best for pugs. Maps are cheap and easy to gather, there's no reason to give someone who spent 30-40k the entire set of loot from a 7 floor canals. It also eliminates the risk that the party will get bored before their last member gets a turn, or the chance that one member will pop no canals from any of their maps. Also it means thieves maps are party property, which causes far less arguments.

I'm not saying I'm against the option if people really want it though. I'd just never personally use it.

Yeah, I dont get why people are opposed to owner gets stuff outside, everyone rolls on stuff inside.

You arent soloing your way through aquapolis/canals with the syncs in place, so suck it up and random.

I honestly just set it to global FFA. When I do maps I tend to do a lot of them so everyone usually gets plenty of profit. Never had issues with people doing loot-n-scoot.

I've lost multiple of those maps to other people before and never got to go into any of them, despite my map being the only only that had the canals spawn in that party. Been told 'I'll sell the map back to you so you can actually do it lolol'.

And I don't have an FC I can trust, due to past drama that's happened in multiple FCs already, as well as more recently.

Don't know why people are against at all honestly. SE can't do a damn thing when people steal stuff in a party that has clearly said 'Owner gets first call on dropped loot', and I'm just asking for a way to give the ability to the players so it would actually cover what SE can't do.

Wouldn't maps fall under loot agreements, therefore covered by GM services? If the party has a loot agreement and someone doesn't honor it they can be reported and the item will be removed from them.

That said, yes they should add a loot rule setting, the game already recognizes the map owner as the only person able to interact with the chest, shouldn't be that hard to set it so only they can hit need.

GMs can't do anything about items. I've been told this before by GMs in game.

If someone raids the FC chest and takes everything and leaves the GMs can't do anything about it because 'they were given the chance to'.

If you share a house with someone and they take all the furniture, it's because 'they were given the chance to' and GMs won't cover any of that.

The most that happens is the person who took said things gets in trouble, but items can't be taken away/given back in any scenario that I've personally seen. And with how the rules are, people still 'have a chance' to take loot that they shouldn't have upon a pre-agreed group.

If that's thief's map, then it's untradeable, so I'm not sure what they mean by selling it back to you.
