Two Months of BLU: Discuss!

Are you still playing BLU? How often? How long? Ever?

Easy allied seals (free teleports), I would not be playing it otherwise. Once a week.

Are you still enjoying BLU as a limited job?

No, but I want to say when it felt OP (due to one spell...) it was fun. I believe making the spells actually Op and have A LOT more interactions (and interesting ones too) would help a lot. Right now I do not find playing Blue Mage interesting, it's a less interesting rotation than the ones I do know and like. I don't have all the cool spells but knowing what they are and how "cool" for how much effort I'd need to put in, not interested lol (especially as I don't need them to do what the job's only value to me is, getting free teleports).

The past two months, have you played BLU more this way than you would have if it was a normal FFXIV Job?

I would have played BLU more if it was a job. I play all the jobs to level them up, this takes time and is mostly what I do in the game as I don't have a lot of time (gives me something I like to do), BLU would be in the list of jobs I'd level and play with then.

Should BLU be improved on as a limited job or scrapped and made into a real job?

BLU should be turned into an Advanced Job, imo. With limited side content as we see now, but hopefully more powerful interactions and more QoL changes. The other-side would be a normal (main-able) job but is restricted to a specific set of spells for high quality balance and rotation.

Do you still see BLUs out in the open world or in the part finder?

No, and I'm on the biggest server (open world, keeping in mind I'm not everywhere at once lol). I sometimes see party finder but it's quite rare. I imagine most BLU get by on friends alone now, or not at all.

Do you feel as though BLU would not exist unless it was a limited job?

I'm not SE, so it's hard to say. Also with some weird comments from leaks we've heard I've wondered if perhaps Blue Mage has more planned than we thought, but that's a bit conspiracy theory territory.
