    Haven't touched it for a while because there is nothing to do. Level 50 spell farming is not needed for the Carnevale (well I still have 5 stages to clear so maybe I'm wrong) so I'm not bothered by the lack of parties.

    I did equip the preorder earring and noticed that the scaling stats seemed very high for a level 50 job. I wonder if that's a bug.

    Really feel BLU could have benefited from a class/job split.

    Class BLU as a "Limited class," can't queue, mob XP bonus, can mix and match whatever spells, total freedom with Carnivale as end-game.

    Job BLU as a normal caster DPS unlocking at level 30, with tiered duty finder 'unlocks'.
    Get BLU to 30, gather all the pre-30 skills, unlocks DF for 15-50.
    Get BLU to 50, gather the pre-50 skills, unlocks DF for 51-60.
    Etc. until cap.
    Job BLU could also have a more set rotation where it has to equip a combo, an AoE, a buff, etc.

    Literally, by 35 (maybe even a couple levels lower), I'd gotten everything except Loom, from the B rank in North Thanalan. Between Mighty Guard, White Wind, and 1000 Needles, every other skill was pretty easy to come by. Which kinda limits how much you could improve that open world experience. More skills scattered around really wouldn't have helped any, because if you can get something like Drill Cannon at such a low level, you could get anything else.

    Other than that, any idea that involves "make BLU as is, but also make an extra version of BLU with all the balancing necessary" just sounds like "do the work of making two jobs for this one job."

    Theres already a section for topics like this in the DPS area filled with complaints about Blu and how dumbed down pointless and copy paste it is of a blm. Same thing two months later.

    Yoshi didnt invent Blu so idk where he got off calling “this” job a blue mage just because it learns spells from mobs, thats not what the core of a blu is about, its a bonus.

    Far as Im concerned it could be the one thing they delete from the game and Id be happy about it. They can say this job is Blu all they want, its not. No idea what job this is.

    Let me Melee as a Blu, and cast, then I might, give it a look, til then just delete this role from 14. Ranged caster, lol, already got that ingame SE........ nothing new to see here.

    lol, they haven't even made one job yet, they made a mini-game with a /vpose.

    I see you're right. The stats don't change in the earring's tooltip so I thought it gave 95 INT (which would be pretty great considering how weak BLU is).

    I picked it up on two characters. Played a little with it in the first week or so. Then I realised that more than half of the skills for this supposedly OP Solo Job would require me to be partied up with people who would need to carry me through content I wouldn't even be remotely powerful enough to contribute anything useful to. Blew myself up in town for a laugh a few more times after that but that's about it.

    Oh wow I completely forgot about it...
    I had few of the dungeons spells and I did not bother with any of the primal ones.
    There were less and less parties then I guess I stopped looking and forgot about this job...

    I forgot that BLU exists. I think I got to level 38, basically once I got all the open world skills and realized how much of a pain getting the instanced skills is I just gave up. Besides the fact that it is not really interesting to play.
