Are you seriously claiming "discrimination" and "rights" over not being able to marry an NPC?Also I feel people who'd like to marry a NPC / have a romantic relationship with him/her are being discriminated here.
Why only give one part of the community the opportunity to live out their feelings? While the other is left to just have to imagine it? How would people feel, if they could not marry their RL partner in the game? There should be the same rights for both parties. And - if my chosen NPC was to die, because of the lore, so be it. Then we at least had some quality time together instead of nothing at all.
You can marry a fellow player in FFXIV-the-MMO because it's outside of the story and has no bearing on the script of FFXIV-the-RPG.
You bumped this thread just for that 3/10 "Gotcha!!"Yes, I am.
Are you seriously trying to discriminate me, because I'm talking about discrimination?
Everybody can talk about his/her thoughts/feelings here. If they are not to your liking, you're not obliged to answer to them. And with that being said, I won't be answering to you anymore either.
?
I like a good romance as much as the next person, but can we just tell a story where there isn't a romance?
I think in few hundred years people will look back on our time period and say we culturally are obsessed with love stories.
This story was originally written so we don't have the complex variety of experiences that comes with choosing and building a romantic partnership because that creates too many variables to tell the story. Although an unpopular choice for western audiences, it was a practical one.
So I'm going strong against this one.
