OK another thread on collectable crafting

I recently finished all my Landking gear, so next step is Handking gear.

All the pro crafter say its garbage, but I can't afford to just buy a set of gear so I can make gear?

Anyways Handking gear takes Yellow scrips, so I am trying to get my Yellow scrips.

Here's the story, I figure I can just make like 100 of an Item and then hand those all in and get My yellow crafting scrips. Just Like Gathering should be easy.

I look for something easy, find Zelkovan Rings, not bad, just lumber and varnish.
Okay, I start with Varnish, break it down to all the components, basically need Raw Amber and Linseed oil, Raw amber easy, Linseed oil means collecting flax.

I go and collect all the flax and raw amber. Proceed to make all the linseed oil, then proceed to make the varnish, all HQ using a macro.

Tired take a break, come back, next I decide okay Need to get 400 lumber to make logs at least. Gets 400 lumber, not so bad ok, not the long process of making it into HQ lumber, great, takes forever but I get it done, wait I need more lumber because my gear sucks so I only got 86% on my Macro for hq's.

Go gather more Logs and make the remaining lumber. Too tired to put it together, ok I'll finish tommorow.

Next day get on and just to double check how much they are worth and how many I will need.... IT'S NOT EVEN ON THE LIST ANYMORE OMGGGGGGG

I basically wasted a whole day collecting everything, and the item I was aiming for isn't even on the list anymore.

This is why I hate crafting, I much prefer just DoL.

So to my question(s):
How can I make this easier on Myself?
Is there an easiest collectable job choice for yellow scripts generally?
How do you guys collect and make everything in one session?


*P.S. All DoL/DoH are 70, and I haven't chosen any specialties yet. I have all the new DoL books, but not the crafter ones, because, obviously, doing collectables is not my forte.

*P.S.S It took me hours to collect all the mats and make everything.

usually i have my retainer bring back lots of base mats so i don't have to do it usually. base mats in to hq versions you usually don't need to but since your stuff is lower end that's wasting more time. try not to make such big gains in one day because like what happened to you by the time you finish the timer will have rolled over and you can't turn in that item anymore.

Personally, I get most of my Yellow Scrips through Custom Deliveries. As it cuts out the need to actually go gather materials and is literally just buy stuff from a vendor, make 12 items, get 200+ scrips per item.

Then once you get one of your DoH classes kitted out, there's less reliance on HQ materials so it's faster to go out and farm for the stuff to make stuff in a single day before the Scrip turn ins reset.

Yep I just use the custom deliveries.
Like a weekly paycheque in scrips.

Same here but on 5 characters, gives me more scrips then i will ever need.

I will try to do the custom deliveries, I only seem to have the DoL ones, but I am sure there is a way to unlock the DoH ones.
But, If I only do those, I won't have my gear until after expansion comes out, I am kinda trying to get this done in a couple fo days, like I did with DoL.

Also, as i said, I am trying to get the Handking gear, which is why I need the Yellow scrips.

Doing less, I guess, is the best thing I can do. I just wanted to do this as fast as possible to get it over with, as I dislike crafting very much, it is so time consuming, and I do not see how I can really make very gil from it, at this point on my server.

If you have no intention of regularly doing 4* gear, then contrary to what everyone says the scrip gear is more than adequate to carry you a large portion, if not all the way in the upcoming expansion, if that is your only concern.

If you are having issues with yellow scrips, then you can quite as easily gather and craft a sufficient amount of materials beforehand to suffice for a few hundred Almandine Grinding Wheels, for example and then just wait for the day it comes up on your list and then work on them on that day. So waiting a few days is fine, just check daily for the item and you will be fine, granted it is annoying. (The item isn't going to disappear forever)

I would like to also state to avoid getting the accessories, they are worse than melded Ironworks, and laughably worse than slightly melded crafted i290. Again, these accessories combined with the scrip gear will adequately carry you through all of the expansion, probably.

1, Honestly yellow scrip is the long way around. Also only the tools and the chest piece are usable. Try to get to where you can make your own gear which will require the books, red scrip items.

2 & 3, It varies every day. Look early in the cycle, for me its noon, see what pays the most for the least work both gathering and crafting. I used to gather in the afternoon, then craft the next morning.

If you dislike crafting and can't see yourself profiting from it, then why do it?

For everything below lv70 2 star, you can simply get a HQ white set, basic-meld it and make anything you want except the higher endgame stuff. From there you simply do both custom deliveries once a week, which will get you a full Handking set well before ShB. As mentioned, ignore handking accessories completely and just overmeld Zelkova.

You can still make money this way, plenty of furniture, glam, minions and lower level items that sell for a reasonable amount. The 3-4 star item market is currently flooded and in diminishing demand anyway.

Agreed do weekly custom deliveries and you will be overflowing with scripts.

Yea the scripts gear this round was not very good.
It is higher level than craft-able gear but cant even craft it with the yellow scripts gear.

I left the game for a while and came back and decided to go yellow scripts gear to gear faster and it is not very good.

Scripts through custom deliveries was way to easy .
