How to practice lvl 60 rotation?

Hello,

Little backstory: friends from another MMO finally came over to FFXIV. We are currently doing all ARR Primal Ex and Coils synced and blind. We aim to start Heavensward primals and Alexander Savage in 3 weeks time, also blind. We are doing the content in order as it's been released. We are having a total blast.

Our problem comes from not being able to practice on training dummies our lv60 rotations, while being lv70, without traits and skills that get replaced at 60+ kicking in. I tried Stone, Sky, Sea outside Idyllshire with the hopes it would level sync me to the choosed content level, Bismark Ex for example, but I was not synced down, still level 70 with all my abilities and did short work of the training rock. So this method doesn't work.

What can we do to practice level 60 rotations, hopefully syncing down, so we can train and prepare for Heavensward content?

the only way to practices on level 60 sync that i know is doing level 60 dungeons in sync or palace of the dead Floors 51-100 and up though positionals don't exist in there

I’m a bit curious, why?
Even syncing to the level of the content won’t give you the experience “as it was” because the jobs at 50 and 60 aren’t the same as they were when they came out(potency balances were different, bard/mch had cast times at 60 before, a lot of skills that used to be in the game are gone or heavily reworked, and some jobs even had skills added in 4.0 at lower levels that didn’t previously exist).

Positionals don't exist in POTD so it might not give the practice they want.

i dont think you can, and personally I dont think you should have to. The rotations shouldn't be vastly different from 60 to 70 and the DPS required shouldn't be so brutal that you need to have 100% perfect rotations when you're sync'd down.

Level 56-57 NM FATEs should work.

Sturdy targets and level sync to 60/61.

So, northern part of Churning Mists.

You can also try doing FATEs in the Maker's Quarter in Dravania Hinterlands if you don't mind having your level 62 skills.

Of course... You can always just queue up to level 60 Trials/Dungeons too. Like normal versions of the Trials you wanna do.

Just because you're level 70 doesn't mean you can't practice your rotations in Stone, Sea, Sky or on dummies for lower level content. Just exclude your skills from 51-60 and 61-70 respectively. No need to make it complicated.

Also, if you want to experience those fights as close to when they were released, then use the mimimum ilv option when you go in there.

Oof, it's too bad I'm on Zalera. I bin wantin to grab period gears an do this but it's hard to get ppl interested in all the old stuffs. I remember beatin T5 (when it was current) an jus starin blankly at the sceen for like 30 seconds thinkin "how the fook...?". We were strugglin so hard at the last phase, many wipes an then just ....cleared it...like it was nuthin xD I wanna do it all again!
