"How many years have I waited." And "If history must be unwritten..." leads me to believe time travel is involved.

Seems to me G'raha has been sesled in the CT for a very long time, and witnessed the coming calamity, then returned to our time to correct it.
That's a long time, for memories to fade and personality to change.

so i was watching the full trailer and what i am kinda thinking is that are souls well be sent to the first, leaving are body's in the tower till we can come back. i mean a out there idea i would say the only reason i say that is cause of Thancred looking youngerish and has his eye site back and Minfilia looking super young. i could be wrong on all of this but hey thought i would throw my two cents in lol . :P

Characters often look different in trailers than ingame, due to engine limitations. Also, he explicitely mentions in a between-quests optional dialogue that he didn't loose his eyesight, but wears an eye patch because he thinks the ladies love it since it makes him look more rugged...
Also, Minfilia is a very different case than the rest due to her connection to Hydaelyn, so I wouldn't take anything about her as a template for others. Also, the way I understood it so far, we go to the First in the flesh. Once we have been there (and synched to an aetheryte, I'll wager, plus went far enough in the MSQ...) we can teleport between both worlds freely, so it wouldn't make sense for our body to be in the CT since then we would have to return there to pick it up every single time, and it just... sorry, it just doesn't sound like it, imho. Also, I won't make a judgement about the rest of the scions since, well, their case is different than ours after all... Maybe Shtola and Uri got sent back to the Source, while the rest either materialized somehow over there, or inhabit cloned bodies, or get dragged over completely somehow... we don't know yet. Got to wait and see.

Of course at this point in time, it's all speculation, but I really cannot see how you reached these conclusions.

Thancred looking youngerish and has his eye site back

As Yuyuka mentioned, he isn't wearing the eyepatch because he actually lost his eye - but he's vague about it, and certainly left me thinking that's what had happened. This is all he has to say about it, shortly after you meet up with him again:

THANCRED
I know what you're thinking, but really, you needn't worry. It will only lend credence to my tales of heroism. Besides, battle scars are to maidens what loose morals are to gentlemen. A definite bonus.

The truth is a little more interesting, but not yet explained - in one scene where he and Krile are infiltrating a Garlean castrum together, he's dressed as a soldier and not wearing the eyepatch. His left eye is intact, but it's turned silver instead of his usual hazel colour.

So I got the impression that whatever has actually happened, he doesn't want to tell you about it - so he dodges the question and lets you think he has to wear the eyepatch for a more mundane reason.

And in the Shadowbringers trailer? It looks like both his eyes are silver now.

I honestly never thought to look at the color of his eyes, usually focusing on text or the action at hand. Guess it's tme to re-watch some cutscenes.
