Lol, SE's "incompetence"....Yoshida decided on an option that worked out the best even if it may split off some people, players cried "nononono unfair to the inactive people and my friends who may not play!" SE listened to those cries, which is as you said, the point of these forums, then SE used the option that was more likely to create a mess, which hey look at that, a mess was created.

They weren't unprepared, they were well prepared for merging servers. Players just didn't like what they planned to do so you can't in any shape or form blame SE for this when it was the players who wanted them to change the way they did the merging.

We're paying customers but we're not always self-entitled to everything.
