There is a 2 week window (not a 2 min) to put in for a transfer. Everyone just take a deep breath, rub your earlobes and say wooooosaaaahhhhh

Kind of wondering what the moderators are doing, what SE is doing. Is it a holiday again that I don't know about? They could jump in and say if things are working as intended or not, instead of repeating the same mistake over and over and over again: silence & letting unwarranted annoyances fester. Yeah, how dare they be in meetings or do their work instead of refreshing the forum every other minute!
They should know by now that the community is mode of a bunch of impatient whiny kids who can't go a day without daddy SE explaining how the world works.

Why would they jump in on every single "fictional problem" the community makes up?

Read the Lodestone post again. They even mentioned that some servers will get locked almost immediately and that is exactly what happened. That is what the community wanted. The community wanted no priority for active players of inactive players, so no you have to deal with it if you want to change your server.

For those that are complaining about not being able to transfer SE told you what time you could transfer and also that they would fill fast


First Stage: From 0:00 a.m. PST, March 1 (Thursday) to 0:59 a.m. PDT, March 12 (Monday), 2012.
- Players will still be able to change Worlds even after applying for a World transfer.
* Players will not be able to select Worlds that are already populated with the maximum number of characters, but players will be able to move from such Worlds to other Worlds. Note that if a player leaves one World to transfer to another World, and in the interim the first World is filled with the maximum number of characters, the player will no longer be able to transfer back to the original World.
* It is possible that some Worlds will reach the population limit very soon after World transfer applications begin.

Okay, ill bite. I was up at 3am spamming refresh and clicked the link as soon as it appeared. At 3:01am, Ridill Balmung Sargatanas and another server were already X and every other one was a delta except for Ragnarok.

They also said from March 13th and beyond "if your selected server fills up, that server and your selection will become locked" Whats the point of waiting until March 13th if theyre already(or started) full of players? (Inactive ones at that)
