    Personally, I would rather do open world content for levelling. Not just for high end levelling content but from lv1-90. Fates are lacking to provide a good amount experience points and enjoyment for my time. Having daily FATEs in which certain FATEs spawn on specific days or randomly switch from one day to another would be an improvement to the open world. I want to form parties of up to 8 players to do these, though. Just no incentives for joining parties.

    I wouldn't mind a reputation grind like Beastman rep. Each leve already has a client faction, so just give out +rep with the client faction as a reward. Then in the cities have rep merchants that offer goodies after reaching a certain rep threshold, like beastman.

    Borrowing mechanics from Bozja/Zadnor for FATEs, including spawning CE's that will scale to number of people participating would be a great thing.

    It would not only revive FATEs, it would also save "S" rank mob encounters from being one-shots, if they scaled properly in enclosed CE.

    This would be awesome. They'd just have to make sure to scale level and gear just like the FATEs when the "CE" popped.

    They could try adding random experience bonuses and the maiden mechanic to pre-Stormblood expansions; that might help a lot.

    Yeah, they improved on FATES in different ways for Eureka, Bozja, and the Shadowbringers MSQ zones. Using that as a template or inspiration for ARR and HW zones and even to jump up StB zones would be great for those who like FATES, but there may not be enough players who do to warrant the resources to do such updates.

    As someone that is currently doing exactly that I can say...

    That Fates are a goddamn Cancer that need to be expunged from the game. I'm not saying that this game would be better without them because I don't even begin to know what it would look like, but nothing gets my blood boiling more than going into Eureka only to be exactly 5 seconds away from the Fate just winking out in my face. Or entering a zone only to find the Fate you're looking for at 80% completion and now you're gonna have to grind a bunch of garbage you don't need just to get the ONE Fate you need to spawn.

    Tying objective reward to Fates like all of Eureka/Bozja makes me want to purge the very IDEAS of Fate. Hell, even Fêtes are superior in the sense that they at least get a set time independent of the ammount of things you do for it.

    Issue has been solved in ShadowBringer/Endwalker patch. Added rewards through Bi-color gemstones.
