Which weapon types would you like to see in the next expansions?

Garlean Gunblade.
Gunbreaker Gunblade is explicitly different, leaves the FFXIV original available for a hybrid of all 3 DPS 'types'.
Melee sword strikes combined with Ranged Physical attacks and a Casting phase using Garlean Magitek.

And then I'm not sure. Cane as a real weapon, alongside Blue Mage as a real job, would be nice.

More blunt weapons. MNK is lonely.


Additionally, a sniper class could be nice and before "but MCH exists!" MCH weapons do include some carbine rifles, but most are handguns I want some proper full on rifles and sniper rifles... But for the class it could just be HW BRD/MCH of being a ranged physical dps with cast times.

Usually when I think of weapons, they're typically associated with job concepts I'm doing.

Hammer is definitely a more prominent choice, especially given that we've had animations for it since 2.0 with the original Nero fight.

Now that I look back on several happenstances, Nero's hammer Mjolnir indeed has always had an interesting element from the the onset.

Hammer/Mace for a maiming melee.

Chakram/Boomerang, or even Blaster Edge for physical ranged.

Something for a scouting melee, but not entirely sure what would be distinctive enough.
Perhaps a whip/chain-whip.
