Are you really a warrior of light if you used a skip potion?

Imo, not really. I mean, I think there is a difference between doing stuff as hydaelyn's chosen and just paying like $60 to act like you did. I think they should do something ingame to differentiate the real warriors of light from the ones who bought their way in. Like maybe call them "Warrior of Light Jr." instead?

Almost seems like stolen valor to call yourself a WoL when all you did was pay SE money. :v Does anyone else feel the same? Nothing against skip potion users, but I don't consider them on the same level as the other warrior of lights, like myself.

We're all playing the story of the Warrior of Light.

Some people paid $60 for hit fast-forward on that story, but it still happened - they just didn't play it.

They're not arriving in an alternate version of Stormblood where the Dragonsong War is still raging amidst whatever the Ultima Weapon and/or Shinryu haven't destroyed yet.

They've just started reading the story at Book 4 instead of Book 2. (Book 1 having been read by a fortunate few, and since rendered inaccessible to all newcomers.)

The bs MSQ from ARR to HW is the sole reason the jump potion is needed.


In reality, gating too much content behind the MSQ is not a smart idea in the long run when you have expansions that are continuations of one another. I hope they see reason and understand they can't keep this up for much too long and start making separate expansion storylines that you can start and go through individually.

- Are being carried in a dungeon?
- If you clear content with gear that is above the required ilvl?
- If you pay for a clear?
