Please get me the fuck off this shit platform. I can't even purchase directly from SE anymore, and instead have to use the STEAM WALLET???? And I have to ADD FUNDS TO USE THE STEAM WALLET? WTF????????

And nevermind having to launch through steam now instead of the ffxivboot64.exe. That's just going to make it even more miserable for me now when I want to play on my laptop instead of my desktop.

They're not the only person to say that. Although right now we're unsure if it's related to the country the person resides in, or if it's some weird account restrictions, but basically different people do seem to have different options.

I am one of the Steam users who registered all of my codes through Mog Station. I am unable to get past the log in of the launcher. Tried re-installing and all the other workarounds but nothing will fix it. Literally at SE's mercy here.

Thanks. yah this is the end of the line for my subscription. I'm not going to log onto a STEAMING PILE OF....yah every time I want to play this game. I have to have some intrusive, network hog of an app I don't use ever other than this game now IF I want to play...which I don't now. Drop in the bucket? Sure. But I'll let everyone I know that might play this, not to. Used to be a fan...now all I am is a way to fan a big pile of STEAMING...for you as a company. Enjoy all the money you made off of me I'm sure you will...no question about that..money for nothing and your STEAMING PILE OF CRAP for free...>

Not here, but there were people in other threads who had problems with "Only Steam Wallet" payment and they actually posted screenshots. It seems to be not very global issue, and we don't really know why people have it as well, but it surely exists.

As a German steam user I have the entire battery of credit card choices available to me in Mog station.
Though I typically pay via steam wallet, which is empty ofc but continues to link me to my paypal.

Kinda like driving the church around the village but what can you do if SE refuses to work with paypal directly and one does not have a CC.
Too lazy to punch in my IBAN every time.

I am having an unpleasant time with Steam + Controller features. When I had the windows client and not steam client, my PC was able to recognize my controller without any problems and it was a plug and play.

NOW THAT I HAVE TO USE STEAM... I have to use their settings.

Let me tell you my frustration.
No matter what Google tells me.
I could not for the love of god get my controller to work right away as a plug and play with Steam's controller settings. Steam recognizes its there. (Even in big picture mode) But the game through steam does not.
It is disappointing that I have to spend nearly an hour or two... in hopes to get my controller running or give up.

I completely support an option to add game keys for Steam or non-steam Windows to FF14 accounts.

I know others have had issues with it, but I've had zero issues with the Steam client or overlay in regards to playing FF14 and have been happily using the Steam version of the launcher to log into my FF14 windows account since I bought an additional steam version of the game in 2015. I've used the steam version of the game for over 3000 hours in that time and losing the ability to play the Steam version specifically, thus being denied the steam account integration and community features that Steam provides to users is a real kick in the pants when the change was in no way communicated that users in my specific situation would be impacted at all.

If the option were available, I would instantly add the steam key to my mogstation FF14 account if I could then successfully log into the game using the Steam FF14 Launcher.

If you have the Steam version registered you don't have to reinstall the game. There are still methods available to you in order to circumvent Steam.
