[Eastern Memories artbook] Yet more merchandise, still only game in Australia :(

(this post was prompted by the recent news about a new art book)

Art books, lore books, plushes, statues, soundtracks ... As a fan of SE, FF, and FFXIV, I'd love to give you money for these Square, as I'm sure would many other people in the same country / region. However, the official SE outlet only stocks digital game downloads. Please consider making these physical merchandises available in Australia in the future as there is a lot of cool stuff (and associated in-game things like minions!) that we are forced to do without (and if physical shipping is too expensive, how about putting the digital versions of the soundtracks up on iTunes or something so we can at least have that?)

As an aside, can we also have an update on when old 3rd-party promo stuff is coming to MogStation? Thanks

As a fellow OCE player, I assure you, this request has fallen on deaf ears since the release of 2.0.

Sadly. I presume it's because of Australia's high import tarrifs that SE probably just feels are too prohibitive to return something resembling a profit by selling and shifting merchandise to Australia (games sold on the AU SE store are digital download only).

Unfortunately all you can do is try and hope a third-party store eventually picks some copies up that do sell and ship to Australia.

Australia's import tariffs aren't that high. The bigger issue I see here is that they don't believe they can sell enough copies locally. Most Australians (myself included) would be happy to pay high shipping to buy from the US or EU, however we are IP blocked from doing so. There is nothing stopping them from allowing us to buy from NA or the EU shops bar the IP block (and the self applied prohibition of shipping outside of the region from those stores). The only potential issue with buying from another region centres around the digital region locks on DVDs and Blu-rays, only applying therefore to the soundtracks. We can't even buy the albums from AUS iTunes - even though my sister in the US can gift me them from the US iTunes store.
