Question regarding the housing during the free world transfers.

    Hello,

I'm questioning how to get the full refund of the house and the 3 extra mil for furniture.

Do I have to do the transfer with my house still up and having furniture in it to get it or how do i go about it?

Also i asume the full cost refund is the Original price and not the price you bought it at?

Thanks for anyone awnsering in advance!

I believe you need to clear out the house but keep the land, I assume the rules for the upcoming free transfers will be similar to this:

    World Transfer Bonuses
Transferring to a new World will earn you the bonuses outlined below.

These bonuses will remain in effect until the population of active players in the World in question has grown to a specified number.

    World transfer bonuses:
    • Transfer is free of charge
    • Maximum amount of gil that can be transferred increased to 999,999,999
    • Gift of 10 gold chocobo feathers, exchangeable for special rewards such as rare mounts

Bonuses for owners of personal housing/apartments:

    Personal housing:
    • Reimbursement for the full price of the estate, plus compensation of 3,000,000 gil for non-recoverable furnishings
    • * Please apply for a World transfer after removing your estate hall and furnishings, but DO NOT relinquish the land. If you have relinquished the deed to your plot, you will not be eligible to receive the bonuses outlined above.

    Apartments:
    • Reimbursement of the 500,000 gil price, and compensation of 500,000 gil for non-recoverable furnishings
    • * Please apply for a World transfer after removing your furnishings, but DO NOT vacate the apartment. If you have relinquished the rights to your property, you will not be eligible to receive the bonuses outlined above.

Please note I've never used the service so I'm not sure exactly how one would do it beyond SE's own guide.

If I read it right you can remove all your items that you can into your inventory (to sell or keep), the ones you can't remove cause they're unique will die when the house is removed (which is why you will get 3mil compensation), remove the house /NOT/ THE LAND (aka keep the deed to the land lol, so that you still own it), and then you initiate your transfer.

The good news though is I doubt SE would skip covering it when the time comes for the free transfer service to be released to us. That'd shock me at least if they were like "free service is up, good luck!" lol.

I seem to remember from a slightly different context that you don't break down your house or you will lose the bonus gil.
I would guess you can leave your furniture in and you would either pick it up from a salvage or it gets put into housing storage. So I would leave everything as it is and just move when it's time

You can remove the house itself (demolish estate hall) so you can use that again on a future plot (if it's the same area), but you must not relinquish the plot as that's what it checks for.

I just wanna make sure that i get both the gill amounts, since i will end up losing some stuff cause lack of inventory space.

Ill just make sure to have the importent stuff in my inv and remove the house (not relinquish the land)

You're also able to place furniture in your FC house (as long as your permissions are set up for it) even if it's bound to you, so anything you have to leave behind can be given away rather than throwing it out.

Oops from what I read you do need to empty your house.
If space is tight you could get an extra retainer for one month. At least if mogstation allows it for one month. By default it adds retainer rental for the duration of your current sub
