    Didn't Yoshi mention at one of the fanfests that they are planning to impliment something in ShB that'll help mitigate item clutter for Fsh? Doubt it'll be tacklebox since if it was something like that I'm sure he'd mention it specifically to hype expac even more.

    Only thing I can think of is turning bait/lures into consumable items that unlock them for fsh then having a separate skill window to select which bait/lure you want to use?

    As someone who went through the hell of getting the latest I Caught That achievement, I agree that there seriously needs to be a separate place for storing fishing bait, because you're going to need to have a lot of different baits on hand while you're zone hopping for the ARR big fish.

    Honestly I'm more in favour of using the currency tab for bait. I don't really need or want another inventory pane I have to open and sort.

    What about remove the baits altogether and substitute them with "bait type" unlocks? Archers doesn't have to buy arrows, afterall.

    Well my original thought process was to come up with something that was more of a meet in the middle scenario that would be more likely be implemented. In a perfect world, yeah, not a fan of that much more micromanagement of inventory issues. We have more than enough of that already. But I also understand and appreciate this is an MMO and inventory management is always a factor to be considered.

    The idea of the tackle box being a secondary item (like the miner sledgehammer) would give a way to slowly upgrade the available slots in said box (say a low level one has 4 slots, and later ones have 40+) to keep inventory management considerations in the mix if that's the intention, along with keeping the stats the same as the other two DoL jobs. Might streamline the process if DoL BiS is a single number across all three instead of it applying to only two and then something different for fisher because of the spearfishing rod that never upgrades.

    I can see why some people would use their chocobo saddlebag as their impromptu tackle box. I've been doing that some as well, moving bait in and out as needed, but there is still just so much of it.

    Really they should just consolidate all the bait. A tackle box wouldn't solve the bigger issue of having a million types of bait in the first place. Make it four types of bait per expansions (a leveling bait and lure, and a scripts bait and lure) and call it a day.

    The tackle box takes the same kind of memory space as a regular inventory, and it's also loaded along with everything else every time you zone somewhere or enter a duty. Instead of adding a tackle box they gave us more inventory slots since they use the same resources, and gave us a saddlebag for the extra stuff you immediately need. Make use of what you were given.

    The only QoL change I'd request is for fisher to directly access the baits and tackles stored in the saddlebag.

    Fishers have been asking for this for years. A lot of us use the saddlebag. I like the idea of making it currency or consolidating, though. Having to stand there trying out multiple types of bait to find the one that works is just annoying, and doesn't really add to fishing's appeal.
