FFXIV Fan Made Client (Concept only)

Hello everyone!! While waiting for ShadowBringer I played around with making a concept fan made a client for FFXIV (this is not a real client only images)

I tired to used assets all ready in use with the game along with some found on the FFXIV site.

The way the client would work is your greeted with the news section page, down below where it says update would say login where on you press it will be greeted with the login menu.

Once you login you will have access to check who is online

Send messages

Check your character and more.

What do you all think? And What would you like added to the client / how you think it should look comment below and I will try to make a new client with your suggestions below!

Seriously, the main launcher I don't think has changed in over five years and looks like it's twice as old as that. We could definitely use a change on that front.

To be honest, anything other than what we got right now will be awesome. Any update really...

But also good job on the design, I like it. It looks sleek and tidy, and I like the character stuff.

But this is the issue with getting an official launcher update, any launcher update would have to be compatible with both PC and PS4 SE are very prone to not updating ffxiv to benefit one game client over another outside of QoL changes and this is probably the reason why it hasn't received an update after all these years its sucky but i rather they keep it that way so that SE keeps things as fair as possible among their playerbase

Yeah, I was hoping for an update to the launcher once PS3 support stopped

The new design is just different not better or worse. The one negative part I see is the limited space allocated to news items compared to SE one.

The other options I don't see as a plus
You can already view characters on the lodestone why would I want to on the login screen?
Messaging doesn't sound as useful either. What channel would it message to? In game chat? Not useful if your friend isn't on.
Some of the other options you can already do when you actual click login. How much time do people spend here anyway? I just click through asap

I mean the only thing I want the Launcher to do right is patching. I don't think any other MMO out there is as bad as FFXIV's. FFXIV doesn't remember where it left off. If its a huge download and the connection hiccups for one reason or another you back to 0 of Gigabytes of data. It really needs to have resume features or something to this feature.

Of course lately my connection has gotten a bit beefier, it consumes our larger patch day patches quickly now and hiccups are nonexistent if my ability to get the patch is faster. But... I know Shadowbringers is going to come and it will be a good 10 or so Gigs and that still will take a bit of time to get, hiccup windows aplenty.

Also... But I need that Sever Indicator and don't need a messaging or lodestone access. er... suppose there is this most minor of complaints... when I tell it save my username it should damn well do so, but it doesn't, especially after a computer reset.
