I mean... Ideally... Something like Dragon Age: Origins system for party members would be ideal. Where you can set up a bunch of parameters in a priority system. So you could have like "Heal player that is <20% life" as higher priority than "Heal TANK that is <50% life" which is higher priority than "Heal DPS that is <50% life" etc. But that would be a lot of work to implement and to be honest, actually use...
Though... My issue is often with her positioning and how it's really annoying to make sure she's always in the correct position, to say, cast any of her AoE abilities >.>
So, if they could make it so she would cast those with you as the source, that'd help alleviate that concern, since it's far easier to position yourself for these things.
Outside of that, it's merely a matter of when she decides to start healing and target priorities that irk me. With the relatively low HP threshold before she starts to do something, 80% is ridiculous for most casual content for example.
So, personally, I wouldn't mind her having something where if there's only 1 party member that's hurt, she'll heal them irregardless of their health percentage (Even if it's 99%, start precasting that heal yo) which will often just be the tank when there's no AoE damage coming in. With multiple people being hurt shifting her over to a health priority.
Slap some weights onto different roles (I.e. You > Other Healers = Tanks > DPS) that allows certain roles to get priority even if they're at a higher health percentage because they're more critical to keep alive.
Maybe even toss in manually telling her to cast a heal on someone causes her to stick to them and focus only on healing that target until you use Heel/Obey to put her back into her regular priority system (Or choose to put her onto healing another person instead)
