Yes, it's another thread made due to not being happy with the '''relic''' from Eureka.
Many players, including myself, are upset about how the relic is an afterthought that feels like it was just an add-on to Eureka. With what I've seen from Pyros the story being akin to 'story story story' followed by 'oh hey I can upgrade thingie'.
2.X's relic was.... ok-ish. Many people didn't like the grind from it. Fair enough. You could still work on it solo. Further made easier in doing so after the expac dropped for 3.X with unsync.
3.X's relic was better, and the story was as well. We got to give our relics their own souls and it was an extension of ourselves that was supposed to grow with it. As well as being able to work on it solo. Further made easier in doing so after the expac dropped for 4.X with unsync.
4.X's relic was just.... bad. They said the relic would take place in a specially designed instance. I thought that the instance would be worked around the relic, as did some others, but it was the other way around. The instance only had the relic as an afterthought, with Eureka having its own storyline. This is a 'special area' with its own leveling system. Something that cannot be unsync'd to work on, and will more than likely forever remain that way due to how the relic is handled.
I know a lot of people enjoy Eureka. Fair enough. I never really enjoyed eureka at all, and I don't know if I'll stick it through to the end wit hall the mixed feedback I'm seeing from Hydatos.
But I do know I really liked working on relics in 2.X and 3.X, where I even worked on multiple of them at once in 3.X. I've always had fun with relics, until they were just an add-on.
So I'm suggesting that Eureka get its own special weapon, for people that want to run it, and give a relic for OUTSIDE of Eureka, for those that don't want this kind of content gated behind something like this.
Then we could have a weapon for the hard core players. A weapon for those who like the Eureka-esque content. And a weapon for those who liked the original Relic content.
Then there'd be a weapon type for almost everyone to be working on to upgrade with.
