Exactly. I haven't had to do that with SE, but I had to reset my SWTOR and Rift security apps many times with no issue. It's literally a form of two-factor authentication, not some big scam by "the bad guys".
If you don't have it with you thats the reason you have the emergency removal key. but surprise surprise you'll prob lose that too.
Like others have said OP make sure you're using the security token or you'll get this sort of situation. That being said if this keeps happening and you are using the security token I would contact customer support and ask if they can figure it out.
Finally a friendly reminder that a security token being registered lets you have a free teleport to any aetheryte of your choosing (not just a reduced teleport).![]()

Thanks everyone, judging by the responses I think I know what's been happening. I did recently go to the SE store to see if there were anymore CE of the xpac available yet and that's probably what happened.

It's happened to me every time I've visited the Square Enix Store, when pre-ordering the Volume II of the book and Shadowbringers, it's a total exaggeration on their side!...
What SE could do to avoid such annoyance is sell to us fingerprint scanners so that players only need to use their thumbs to authenticate themselves when playing the game or using the Mog Station or the Online Store!...
