My Journey So far since choosing tank to start

Since deciding to main a tank as my first toon ever, I have no regrets so far. I still get Tanxiety when I first get started in a Dungeon but have been good about watching videos. Just finished the Garuda fight but have been having fun so far. I did cause a wipe once because I hadn't realized when syncing you lose abilities lol.

Looking forward to the rest of the road to 70 and continuing to improve and get more comfortable. Anyone contemplating going the tank route I would say go for it, found a youtube playlist I think by Myzteq? but she has all of the dungeons on it.

Also would like to note so far the groups have been pleasant I always start with saying I am new and anything I do wrong please let me know so I can correct it (like not moving around so much unless I have too)

Thats awesome! I'm glad your having such a good time tanking. This game is my first MMORPG so when I started I chose GLA/PLD and dint even know it was a tank. I had an interesting time in the sunken temple of quran when someone pointed out that I was still a GLA at lvl 45. I just got back into tanking about the beginning of Stormblood and have loved it. Keep in mind that as you unlock certain abilities, your tanking style may completely change. once you reach 70 the real fun begins with end game content. Looking forward to running with you sometime!

I'm really anxious about tanking in a duty but I guess I just have to explain that when I do take the plunge that I am new to tanking so it may be a bit slower. If the DPS then decide to go off and pull other stuff themselves thats their problem

I'm a new player myself, but something I found worked wonders, was doing Palace of the Dead. It helps you learn your rotations and you get to experience what your class will be like at higher levels of play as well. (Not to mention its great for getting xp on a side job.)
