I pre-ordered my copy around 2 weeks ago.. plus it's apparently hitting some PC users as well............ as a friend on my FC discord mentioned that he saw someone posting about it on an FF14 discord he's a member of..... and that they were a known PC player

I'm also having this issue, but might be able to give a little more insight onto what is (and isn't) triggering it. It seems that it's not "on startup" but when loading the launcher, usually one and the same - but I was already logged in, then tried to exit from the main menu to check something on the launcher screen, and that's when I got the error.
For more detail:
I'd pre-ordered Shadowbringers, and was prompted to register it when I first logged in earlier tonight. I went through whatever steps that took me through, and continued into the game without issues.
Tonight I was clearing the seasonal event with my different characters, so was logging out and in again a few times, each time returning to the main menu screen (with the flame background). No problems during any of this.
At the end of my playing session, I wanted to look at the news articles on the launcher screen, so after logging out I pressed Exit on the main menu, which would normally return me to the launcher. Instead I got the error message.
(There's a small chance that I actually got the error immediately after logging my character out, as I'm rather tired and I don't particularly remember going through the main menu screen, but I think I must have done that. It's certainly what I was intending to do.)
Anyway, it gave the error again when I closed down the program and opened it again. I haven't done any further troubleshooting.

Same Problem Here... Did SE or PSN/Sony Say Anything Regarding This Problem ?
How Long Will This Last ?
I would be so mad if the only way to fix it would be to delete and reinstall ffxiv
I decided to contact SE directly........... I'm waiting for a chat atm ^^ I'll be sharing the info gathered here guys.
atm they're saying since it's a Sony error code we need to contact sony directly........
