    Payment Option for a NA Account now living in Australia

    I've been able to use Crysta up until now.

    This month though Ultimate Pay is rejecting my CC (Visa) with a generic message.

    It'sthe Same CC I've been using the last year and I've used for something else today (so it's working). It also has plenty of funds on it.

    In addition, I've tried registering the card for direct payments - rejected (geneic message)
    I've tried buying Crysta by Paypal. Paypal sends the money and PlaySpan then returns it.
    I have a verified ClickandPay Account, but My SE Account won't recognise it, and emails to both ClickandPay and SE only get the generic "We have received your query" emails and nothing further.

    Do I have any option left to pay for a NA account from Aus? I would have changed to a EU version when advised, however Customer Support informed me at the time that my old NA account would then become unusable

    Any advice?

    Hi Courtney,

    Do the billing statements of your credit reflect an NA address, an Australian address, or another address?

    There are some vendors that are not as strict and will accept charges with less verification. A billing institution like the ones used here may be tighter in their response if something doesn't match.

    I would suggest buying an online Ultimate Game Card (or getting a friend in NA to buy you a physical one and tell you the code).

    I am an American living in Japan and had the same problem. UltimatePay kept refusing my card (presumably because I was paying from a Japanese IP address with an American card. It would have been nice if they told me why they were rejecting it). So what I did was buy an Ultimate Game Card code online and redeem it for crysta.

    The site I bought the "card" from did end up calling me to verify I was no thief, but at least they pretended like they wanted my money, unlike UltimatePay. After the phone call, they sent me the card code.

    No family in the US. I'm an Australian who was working there at the time. CC is Australian too, but it always has been (since 2003 when I started FFXI). SE has always accepted overseas addresses in the past, and I'm not quite sure they've stopped. One of the frustrating things is the error messages really don't say what the payment problem is.

    It's just disappointing that you can be a loyal customer for nearly 10 years, never cause any trouble, always pay on time, and it seems each month you have to jump through more and more hoops just to give them money ><.

    Will try the ultimate Game Card. Wish I was sure it would work before outlaying! If it doesn't I guess this is goodbye, as no payment means no active account and no access to these boards!,

    The most dissappointing part is that you feel like a criminal, trying to find more and more devious ways to pay for an account you've played legitimately for nearly 10 years.

    I'm not a criminal, I'm a customer!



    The CreditCard-UltimateGameCard-UltimatePay-Crysta-Play! path of payment is still open, so it looks like I'm still alive for a bit, at least until they change that too!. Thanks to all who replied
