DX error 11000002

I recently had the same problem as did many others as demonstrated by the numerous post on these forums. I troubleshot by by turning off everything but the game. this will require you to do what is known as a clean start. If the game functions properly start bringing up individual programs until you discover the cause or, as in my case, it continues to work when you have only that which you need. Only have what you absolutely need in the start up menu. A number of programs that were initiated originally handled by Startup I now run manually. I believe this is where my compatibility problems. I also recommend that you disable any overlays that you have running. Despite what people will tell you this is not a hardware issue. Good luck.

I have this issue right now and one of my characters is unusable at this point. It completely crashes the game when I load the character.

Other characters work fine. But when loading this certain character in game ...it crashes with that error. I have reloaded my Nvidia drivers, as well as the entire FFXIV game.
