Gendered flower crowns? Really?

Wow, for once a gendered item where I actually like the male version better. I don't really I understand why they had to be different between genders in the first place, though, rather than just two different items to choose from? I don't agree that the choice is baffling, since it's honestly just par for the course for this team by now, but it's certainly stupid.

I'm also salty that they went with a daisy crown instead of peach blossoms to match the previous Little Ladies Day accessories... it's been years, how long do I have to wait for a matching set?

I find this kind of funny. Not only is it gendered, but the MALE version is better. I really want to know what the dev conversation was like to decide that.

After all the countless venting threads about female gear being much better than male, now we have male gear better than female's. And disappointed people shows up.

When female version of gear is better, people are disappointed about males left behind.

When gear is neutral, people is disappointed because gear is "bland and without any uniqueness"

True, but... in this case they could've made two different flower crown items with the different models and everyone could have both, and this thread wouldn't exist. They did it for the ghost costumes in that one Halloween event, so why not here?

I like this idea. ^ Also adjust the dye tone on the female version so it's not washed out. We have lighter toned dyes for those tones, we don't need it forced.

You can't exchange items that were bought off the mog station, only rewarded from the quest, so this isn't entirely impossible...

The NPC (I'm also not sure if it's the salvager or the other one) does let you exchange SOME gendered items, but I don't think it's been updated in ages. It's all older seasonal event gear that is now on Mog Station - kimonos, beachwear, Valentione's aprons, etc.

I'd be surprised if you can't still trade those items if you bought them from Mog Station rather than owning them from the event - it's still the same item to trade, and I'm pretty sure that's all the game looks at. I'd have to test it to be sure though.

In any case, it's irrelevant to the flower crown but it's a good way to try on some Mog Station gear to see whether you want to buy it or not.

I'd like to support this thread, because I feel for you. Really, I do. But it seems that there are an overwhelming amount of items in the game that favor female characters, whether gendered or not (Alpha healing chest says hello). I personally think the item in question is absolutely hideous (both versions), but it's nice to know that they haven't forgotten about the male characters.
