Create additional funds to upgrade outdated content plz

I would prefer Se providing us with an additional payment method where we can choose to pay 1 or 2 euro more per person (if we choose to) with a clear message of support and a monthly in game reward that gets better the longer you keep doing it.
That way SE will have additional income and might be able to hire someone extra to fix all the issues they haven't been able to fix so far.

I'm pretty sure that's called the MogStation, but some things just can't be fixed so easy with the game's 1.0 spaghetti code unless they did a compete remake from the bottom, which seems unlikely at this stage.

While I can't say much on the how (your idea of additional payment as support is awful, SE is a multi-billion dollar company, don't treat them like charity), I can say that the further we get into the games lifespan, the more essential this will be. As of shadowbringers, players will need to get through ARR, ARR patches, Heavensward, Heavensward patches, Stormblood, and Stormblood patches, just to get to the expansion content. People complained when it was just ARR and ARR patches, now it is so so much more.

Also I can't wait for the day 1 complaint threads of people going "wtf do you mean I have to do all this MSQ?" again

Even if what you say is true, that doesn't mean Big companies like SE are suddenly going to listen unless there's something to be gained.
Having said that, I don't considering my idea bad if it would make them listen and do what we ask of them for once instead of being ignored 9/10th of the time.

FFXIV is the cash cow that pays for all of SE's other ventures. I don see that changin. So for now they gotta balance the satisfaction of lifers like me, an new players. This is always gonna be awkward given what funds they have at their disposal. Unless there's a clear profit for them, say like new subscribers added I think they will stay the course, and that sucks.

In that case, if greed is the only way.... I would wish they'd add a lot more functions to the mog station..
I don't think it would be impossible to add extra functions to 1 account seperately if they pay for it....

I wouldn't mind paying for extra vault tabs for example.
