I hated Eureka and ultimately decided to skip SB's relic rather than suffer through content I don't enjoy. That said, I have no issue if they keep the relic progression tied to 5.X's Diadem/Eureka.
They just need to provide an alternative way of progression towards the relic through other content.
That way everyone wins and can pick the path they like most (or at least hate the least).
