What is a "bad player" to you?

In a few cases when something goes down the drain (more than once) the - thought to be or obvisiously in the wrong - player is called a bad player. At times the whole class gets dissed as braindead. Especially hear that often about NIN in POTD (which felt really awkward last time because I as a fresh NIN was the last one standing in a party with 3 NINs and 1 DRK after a wipe at floor 54).

Soo-u... I kind of felt like getting a forum opinion on that.

When do you think someone is a bad player? That he isn´t just having a bad day or relatively new to the stuff? There´s also to consider that some players got a slower learning curve or bad internet connection...

Just curious.

Someone who is not forthcoming about any issues they have, either technical or personal in nature...yet still suks. Despite my often abrasive, and sarcasm laced demeanor in game I'm pretty forgivin of other players in the DF and I do enjoy helpin ppl out. This is a social game, if yer havin a problem spill it, mebbe we can help. So *rambles on* basically ppl who don't communicate, and ppl that don't strive to improve. I'm not askin for the best, or even your best...just give it a good twelves damned try would ya?

Bad player is somebody who refuses to learn or adapt.

If your giving your best effort and at least trying to learn, I can be VERY forgiving.

People that are bad at the game? People that don't know how to play, poor teamwork skills, poor communication skills, unable to learn, unable to listen. Like every game ever: Videogames, sports, tabletop. People usually get that effort disregarded because "Lul this is a game", but this is not a singleplayer game, when you become a burden for other players, then you have an issue in your hands.

A bad player is not one who is perceived by others as underperforming in duty.

A bad player is the player who criticises the performance of that player and do not offer anything constructive for them to improve.

A bad player is the one who instantly quits from a duty just because they do not like it.

A bad player is the one who thinks it is mature and clever to denigrate others.

A bad player is the one forgets that a game is to be enjoyed by all taking part.
