What is a "bad player" to you?

Agree!! roles are there for a reason, if every role could be possible do everything very well, the game woulndt need tanks healers and dps. None of them can do everything ok.

I dont like players that choose heal trying dps. those who choose tank and try dps. Or those tanks that during battle, move boss so mutch that make monks combo impossible.
If tank dont move, stand still, monks combo would be fine.

To me a bad player is: -Someone who never wishes to improve in anyway no matter how small -Can never own up to there mistakes (we all make them) -Forgets that ffxiv is a multiplayer game and that your enjoyment should not come at the exspense of others. In party content it is the party that matters not the individual.
-comes severely undergeared in the lvling roulette (this this this!! Lol). -A bad player is also: -Forgets that we where all new once and new players be given the time to learn and grow especially if they are willing. -Expects savage level play in casual content. There is nothing wrong with expecting people to at least put in a good effort and come with a good attititude though (I appreciate the same) -Equates belittling to advice ("hey you ****ing moron, how about you pop some defensives). I could honestly go all day on both sides, but im on my phone so ill just stop here

There's at least two distinct levels of badness.

Some people try to play the game to the best of their ability but for some reason end up being bad at it. Maybe they have laggy internet, an underspecced computer, a disability, or are just overwhelmed by all the simultaneous mechanics.

Then there are those who apparently choose to suck at the game. Tanks that stay in DPS stance and don't hold aggro, healers that only use their most basic healing ability in Lv70 content, players of any role who don't make the slightest attempt to move out of any AoE.

A special place in hell is reserved for those who exhibit some form of inexcusable badness and proceed to blame others for it.

I wont say bad all around just different talent.

But like today when I started the lvl 63 dungeon. As we all popped in the Tank goes my armor is low level and also may break.

He does very first pull of tons of trash and dies. We all wipe.

Now I was a dick but not verbally. I used/sit and said I'm waiting for the timer to leave. Je asked why and I told him same as above. Well thankfully they booted me lol.

Still not bad per se but if that's what you say then yes it's bad. I'd rather it be I'm new and haven't tanked this. As I do when I tank.

The people who obviously aren't trying. The tanks who afk dungeons in tank stance doing single pulls. The honest healers. DPS who don't use their AE skills. I will happily hang with a relatively bad tank as long as it looks like they're trying. I will take a healer who forgets to stop dpsing and lets the tank die over every single healer who has afk'd between cure 2's. I will not begrudge any dps for suboptimal play as long as they AE or ST appropriately. Because even if they are bad at these things, the fact that they know it's what they should be doing means they care enough to learn about the game and everybody has to start somewhere. The other people straight don't give a damn, and I will resent them eternally for it.

I would rather have a goofy run with a couple of wipes with people trying their best than have a perfectly smooth run with someone that isn't.
