I'm pretty sure losing 10% durability after each death is considered a penalty. Sorry that the game isn't completely unforgiving like FFXI's death penalty and offers deleveling.
XI death penalty is a joke. With Raise II and III you pretty much lose nothing.

Equipment wear and tear seems more effective.
Well, change it back, what it was before you saw the post and changed it back to what it should have been.

You want a Raise II or III in Valkurm Dunes? Do you know what exp level the dunes is? I'd hope that WHM charge you for the raise. why search for 50+ in an area that mostly fill with 10-20s? Probably get rejected by any sane WHM lol
