Seriously if you have a complaint about this game's visuals aesthetics, one of the few things it did right other than world design(its horribly boring, but still smooth and nice), perhaps you should go play some other MMO with gritty/cartoony visuals.

Yeah... Gritty/"Cartoony" visuals? Not to say other games aren't more cartoony but come on have you watched the cs's for XIV? It's a big cartoon in itself, the world isn't but the characters look/act overly cartoony which imo is it's only graphical flaws.Oh...The OP wanted us to be serious?

Some people hate the zones but I think they were well done, the seemlessness of them would be a wonderful thing if there were more zones in the game. Part of the problem is we spend too much time in these areas and they start to drive us crazy. If there were 5 other areas and we could use something like airships and travel through all of them faster then it would be a blessing.
To the OP, Idk what to tell ya. "Limit Break" like moves have been popular in FF for 15+ years I don't see them doing anything different. I guess they could be a little "too much" like XI's but unless they have a better method of using abilities up their sleeves why change it? Change is only a good idea IF you can do better than what was done before.
Speaking of Limit Breaks that is something I would like to see out of this game. People liked 2 hour moves in XI, I say why not give each job a super powerful ability that builds up like limits did in FF7-10. Most of them built up through dmg taken (X let your choose how it built up), picture fighting Ifrit, surviving hellfire would most likely put people in their limit then they could go beat Ifrit senseless.
Yoshi P didn't want 2 hours because of the recast or something if I remember because he didn't want people having to schedule fights around the recast timer. For this system he could have the "limit bar" reset entering a fight and make you build it up throughout. Or just make it so they reset after every fight so that you're only able to use them on the big fights and not spamming them in exp parties.
Graphics for those should be cutscene level explosive though lol
ArnoMonkey, and please take this as a genuine question, how do characters seem like cartoons to you?
Hmmm....Yep...FFXIV character is totally cartoony.
