This thread is just too funny. I mean, do you really want blood and entrails flying around? Admittedly, I will agree with you to a point: This game is generally too fucking bright. IE The transition from Limsa heading out into La Noscea during the daytime, man, my eyes had to readjust every time..

That's realistic though going from a dull "covered" area like zoning out the adventurer guild after being in for awhile that I can get behind as you really don't see even offline games doing great lighting effects like that, but the only issue I have is the animations and damage display being out of sync.
