cant find where to download client

I logged out of the game for a few hours and when i returned, the game would not launch. it said something about not being able to complete version check or some such. i uninstalled the game with intent to reinstall but the "setup" version i have is giving me the same problem. I can not find where to download the game. where to find an updated download file. please help.

Hmm, strange. The download link from that page is

http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/inst/ffxivsetup.exe

Maybe a VPN could solve this connection problem but I don't know.

I am having the same issue. Couldn't perform boot version check, i tried all the usual stuff but didn't work. Uninstalled and now cannot find anywhere with a viable client download link. Not paying another 60 for a new copy of a disc that I will lose again...lol. Hopefully this thread will provide some answers. I will continue to look for a solution and post here if i find one.

best i can tell, the link above normaly works. but somethings is wrong. i assume whatever it is is also linked to the boot version check issue. once one is resolved, the might both be.

If you are having trouble accessing the site, you may be running into a routing issue while access Square Enix sites. This would also contribute to the version check issue.
