sounds like you need a break. no one is forcing you to do anything. *shrug* can't have one way of doing things for some people and another way for others. it should be consistent and the same for everyone. But its pointless to FORCE em to come "every day" instead of taking healthy breaks.... let them leave and let us gear up on the pace we want and not burn out cause on one week we cap our tome 7x and the next to week we dont even do it once >_>
At least, let us accumulate the weekly caps till the even patch hits, so you dont miss out. And for gods sake, give us different means to upgrade the right side, i just cant force myself to do stuff for it the 43574537th time as it feels so useless...

You are completely missing the point. The problem is that Savage is one time clear each week. This is different from having all the items. Unlike other content, Savage raids can only be done once a week regardless of if you got an item or not. This means there is no replay value like say the 24 man raid. At least in the 24 man raid you play it until you get an item drop for the week. If you at least let people run Savage until they get an item they want rather than just one successful run per week, it automatically extends the length of the content greatly. Once you get good at the raid, that Savage content is literally worth only about ten minutes of content and all other gear you can acquire will have lower item levels. The result is that there is very little end game content for people to actually do since nothing else can provide matching gear levels or even cosmetics (this is another issue for making older content relevant, but that's for another day). Considering the large item pool and your party only getting two drops, the likelihood of getting a usable item is very low for your group. If you can allow people to re-run it, then you suddenly give a reason for people to do the content more than once or even help other people do it.and those are the people that just go off to play other games and just raid log. I'm not sorry to see those people not stick around. you just want to be selfish and have all the loots right away.
the point is - if people get stuff faster - they leave faster. they think they're done and just might not come back at all. pretty certain that's not what the devs want.
The current system actually forces you to login consistently for about two months at the beginning of a raid cycle in order to gear up a single class with no way to gear up all your classes. It requires a consistent subscription in order for players to remain in end game content rather than allowing players to jump in during the middle of it. The daily/weekly reset system guarantees that people are more likely to burn out more often because it becomes part of a regular schedule that makes people feel like they have to cap each week instead of progressing at their own pace. This creates an overall higher rate of burnout than a game where you are allowed to make your own progress.

You kind of put your finger on it. The primary purpose of lockouts is to keep people subscribed longer.
Secondary purposes may include slowing down progression so that people who can’t play a lot at the beginning of a patch cycle don’t get left as far behind those who can.

I'm sure people would have resquested that many times and still you won't see it changing. Very sad since most of the players that are done with leveling all jobs have nothing else to do.
yup lockouts keep people around longer. as a dev you want that. didn't get the drop you wanted from final omega this week? too bad so sad. try again next week. i've been doing final omega for weeks now and an aiming body has yet to drop. I'm not spending my books on it though.
got nothing else to do at all in the game? congrats go do something else then.
This sums it up nicely, it keeps people playing longer and stops them from gearing up in a week and then unsubbing because they don't want to play anymore.
Also, it's not like they don't lift the loot lockout *eventually* right? Even if it does happen pretty close to the end of the tier.

Just this, it has literally nothing to do with me burning out - gettin frustrated over 150+ ex primal runs and still ahving to wait months to buy it it, or from doing an Omega part like 12x a week jsut to maybe get the loot i need, bc i need smt specific and cant just say f#### it ill get it tomorrow...
Besides im not intending to lose my fc or house lol
and its literally that, at first you cant get tome for life, now i dunno what to buy as stats either suck or i dont need that piece as i wont upgrade it and might as well stick to the 390...
Just as i said several times, at least let us acumulate the weekly stuff so we can catch up if we dont do it one week or two, let us get tome for 3-4 different jobs... and for the love of god dont let us rerun all old raids for upgrades... stick to one coin of the current and let us use 2-3 from the older part to upgrade as well, so you can run them IF you want and dont have to do the same over and over...

Whether you like it or not, the purpose of weekly lockout is to slow down your progression because they cannot create new content fast enough. Just like a bakery that limits customers to one cinnamon roll in the morning, but you can have all you want towards the end of the day. They wouldn't have to do it if players paced themselves, but they don't. They eat up new content liking starving jackals. So long as this remains weekly lockout will continue, so I'd get used to it if you're not already.
