I watched video how change it.

Got "modern vocation"

But, my retrainer's list don't show "Assigan retainer a job".

Is me bugged or wait it longer?

This is merely a guess, but does your retainer fulfill this requirement?
- To swap a retainer to a job with a base class, the retainer must reach level 30 with the associated class.
- To swap a retainer to a job without a base class, the retainer must reach level 50 with any DoW/DoM class.

This means that you can't take a DoL retainer and instantly change them into a job.

If you are simply looking to change a retainer's CLASS, then you want the "Reset retainer class" option.

it will most likely go back to Lv 1, that's how it works.

It won't stay at level 70. I also don't believe this information is retained. So if you change the retainers class, and want to change back you're SoL. It would very likely be in your best interest to purchase another retainer unless your current retainer brings little value to you, but this is difficult to fathom if the retainer is level 70 and geared.

I am going to guess what you are doing. It sounds like you want to change your retainer's job and you can't do that because your retainer already has a job?
The item "modern vocation" is a job crystal for your retainer. To use an example, if your retainer is a black mage and you want want to change them to a scholar, "modern vocation" will do nothing. If you want to change your retainer's job, you have to re-set their class and start over as level 1. The information from the retainer's previous job is not saved.

If you change a retainer class/job their level is reset to 1. Retainers can only know one class/job at a time.

It depend to what job you had before to what job you want.

Your retainer will start from class combats (MRD, CNJ, PGL, etc) or DoL jobs.
With the modern vocation, you can change your retainer's job from combat class to combat jobs, but keep in mind it works like soul crystal. So if you want to have a Scholar retainer, start with Arcanist or if you want a Warrior retainer, start with Marauder. You can only choose jobs you've taken yourself. You can't pick Scholar if you started as Thaumaturge.

For DoL jobs, you won't need the vocation. Simply raise their level. Keep in mind you can't change your retainer's job from combat to DoL and vice versa. You need to reset your retainer's job to level one because retainers can only learn one job at a time.

For jobs like Machinist, Red Mage, and other combat jobs without base class, you're free to choose any class to start and level them up to the required level, either level 30 (Machinist, Dark Knight, and Astrologian) or 50 (Red Mage and Samurai)
