What did they think was going to happen in content where half of the instance at any given time is afk waiting to shout for free loot? I'm not saying SE encouraged it, but they sure didn't do anything to mitigate the lazy mentality of Eureka players.
I keep seeing this brought out but I ask, "Where is this community?"
I really don't hear too many people wanting to go back to the FFXI days and all the problems it had. If you want that experience, go play it. You'll be back within a week.
There's a reason that playstyle isn't around anymore. No one has time for it.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Thank you for this.Tbh, a lot of it is content design. BA progression should have MORE positive effects on the outside aside from one annoying NM.
Clear the twins? Bunny fate drops more gold chests.
Clear Raiden? NMs drop more crystals.
Clear support fate? Temporary drop rate increase of moisture-warped lockboxes.
Clear AV? NMs spawn faster. Throw in some lore about Eureka destabilizing or something.
Clear Ozma? Extend these effects for the whole zone for 30 minutes.
You honestly consolidated a couple of the suggestions that some of us had been talking about in-game.
And YatoShishi was spot on with the statement... "For some reason we do not manage to play together and respect each other". Truth is, we haven't played well with each other or respected each other for a long time in real life...and this has gradually permeated itself into how we interact online.
I don't believe in people who won't bother to try getting a reward from content they didn't do. Outside player rewards for people who clear inside? Absolutely. Not the reward for people who actually did the dungeon though. That's just entitlement. Sylow pretty much has the perfect rewards listed.
BTW and on a different topic, taking a portal and instantly leaving when most/all portals are taken is griefing/sabotage and is reportable. Look it up, or think on why it is for a moment. If they are legitimately doing the content, it isn't, but leaving instantly is an intent to ruin a group's run. There is 5 minutes of wait time before a red portal shows up, and multiple warnings of 'Are you sure, are you really really sure' etc., so there is no excuse to essentially lock out people from the content for the sake of doing so.

BA is more like limbus than Dynamis, but let me remind you that neither of these piece of content were as tedious to enter as BA. You did enter them as a group (and not as individuals) and even if only one "alliance" was allowed in them at a time (at first), people did manage to come to an agreement and schedule their runs over the week.
You shouldn't have to "schedule" a BA instance almost like you would a wedding ceremony. If a group wants to do it they should be able to just do it. The portals should send all alliances / parties to their own BA instance. This is one of the problems with open world content. You create a claim system so first come first serve, and if everyone is ok with that (which most arn't) you create a wait in line system.BA is more like limbus than Dynamis, but let me remind you that neither of these piece of content were as tedious to enter as BA. A)I'm not saying this is a good system, only that it isn't anything like FFXI. No systems in FFXI were as broken as this one (which is quite a feat because FFXI had some really weird stuff). You shouldn't have to "schedule" a BA instance almost like you would a wedding ceremony. Just witnessed a 15+ minute long argument over people arguing about portal rights-of-use. This situation is so stupid and now I have to listen to everyone incessantly argue about it, even in the game. When it's this widespread that you can't even properly play content without being bombarded with constant negativity in shout chat (an essential tool of Eureka), the problems need to be addressed.
