New Job Zodiac + Anima What If Thread

My goal is to hopefully end up with every relic weapon in the game.

So, yes I'd do them.

(But seriously... Holy butts for Anima and the absurd amount of Poetics you need for Umbrite...)

If in some universe SE did Zodiac and Anima weapons of all the new jobs, such as SAM, RDM and GNB...(Gunbreaker) would you do them? I would probably do them for GNB lol. Edit: Who am I kidding... I'd probably do them for RDM and SAM to...

Also I'm doing the Zodiac quest for PLD and I think it's time for the Zodiac quest to be nerfed somewhat.

I have gone through the whole Zodiac questline once. I am not going to do it again - unless possibly if the final weapon looks absolutely, stupendously amazing (which none of the existing ones do).

Many parts of the questline has been heavily nerfed already. The 100k gil for some of the items needed shouldn't be hard at all to come up with at that point in the game.

Also I'm doing the Zodiac quest for PLD and I think it's time for the Zodiac quest to be nerfed somewhat.

20k GC Seals for Bombard Cores each still.
100k gil for NPC items still.
And lets not talk about the prices still being charged for the crafted items, which I would hope goes the way of the unidentified items for the Anima weapon and can be gotten some other way eventually.

Lol, no no. The ARR relic quests have already been nerfed like crazy. It still needs to be somewhat of a grind that consumes a fair amount of time and giving you something to do. It might cost 80k seals for all the bombard cores, but GC seals are extremely easy to acquire. 400k gil is a nice chunk, and the crafted items still go for a nice amount off of the MB. Not an issue if you're an omni crafter, but grinding out gil also is not difficult if you're resourceful. I've completed four ARR relics and five HW relics, and lemme tell ya, nothing is worse than those damn books!

If they did release ARR quests for expansion jobs, I would definitely got through that grind again for at least one of them. It would be really interesting to see the ARR versions of those weapons.

Aww. But the content is like 5 or so years old at this point and worth nothing but Glamour at this point. I think at least a little nerf would be nice lol.

I'd do any RDM ones in a heartbeat. I was really looking forward to our first relic weapon at the end of Eureka, but the result left me underwhelmed.

My dream is that one day the relic will be time consuming of course but not a painful slog that makes you question why you're bothering in the first place and actually be FUN.
